Ladies and Gentlemen. Another celica has been injured. Yesterday at approximately 3:15 PM Pacific time a light turned green, and three cars in front of my started to go. the car in front of the escilade in front of me hit its brakes. the escilade hit its brakes. my flip flop got stuck and i couldnt hit my brakes. there wasnt much damage done to the escilade, but the front end of the celi is ruined. i will take pictures shortly and post them. i am devistated.

well, some are i think, and the importand one isnt. the bumper is done. i had a cone knock off, but that is no big deal, the high beams are broken, no big deal. turn signals no big deal. the upper support bar is bent. a little bit of a big deal. then comes my Carbon fiber C one knock off hood. unrepairable. cracked split, spider webbed, the hood pin got yanked out. it is toast.

Sucks. Had the same thing happen to me in a Chevy S10. Flip flop got stuck and I rear ended an old lady in a 2005 Toyota Avalon. Ouch.

Every guy I know does that.. but no girl does. Does it have to do with guys having giganterous feet? BTW - your car was one of my favorites of all time.. Ladies and gents. The process to rebuild has begun. Not sure when i will have all the parts but the parts being pieced together are as follows.
JDM Projectors, highs and lows Stock Front bumper with the Zyclone lip on VIS's website (silver wit the center of the lip black for any one who is interested in looking at it) Havent decided whether to go with the Vader hood or back with the c-one knock off (i love the c one knock off) Bullet Fenders Forgot what the sides were called but i THINK they are the boomer sides.... i think they are on JAWS car and i havent decided what to do with the rear. not sure what would flow with that set up. I would LOVE to get the Arising II rear bumper but im not sure if i can get just the rear. any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated. Roboito P.S. thank you Jen for the kind words :-D mine was my favorite on the site too, but thats cause it was mine. lol This post has been edited by redtcel: May 22, 2006 - 5:23 PM |

glad to hear you have the coin to rebuild your Celica. i add my voice to those who have asked you not to wear flip-flops while driving. check your local/state laws. it is probably illegal to do so and you are damn lucky your insurance company didn't drop you like a you know what.
BTW... WTF is all this about bodykits and fenders. i thought you liked the Celica. -------------------- |
