So my clear turns came in the mail yesterday so I thought I would get them on right away, so I had to switch my bumper. After a few hours (mostly because all the bolts were rusted on) I was finally able to switch the bumpers with the help of a friend of course. Here's what it looks like now...

The only problem I had was that 1 of the 3 bolts on the drive side broke. It was the plate with the bolts on it that connects to the fender .. there is a small gap that is somewhat noticeable. It was the bottom bolt that broke (would that deter the strength of the bumper?) .. should I replace it .. if you guys think i should, does anyone have the part number for it?

good job. i can't really notice the gap, but i think you should try to get that fixed. other than that, it looks pretty sweet. i need to find me a 96+ bumper soon.

The new bumper I think is only nice is you get the fogs, ss-III splitters, and the ss-III grill. the older one is nice is you just have the fogs, and the 94-95 splitters, gotta love the bigger opening.

I love my facelift bumper. I think it makes a huge improvement and looks awesome with the stock 94-95 spoiler. You can see what mine looks like in my signature below.

I agree, it is a good mod. It gives a more updated look to the car.

if you want to get technical, you can replace the piece that is broken (from the rusted bolt).

you would just have to take the bumper off again and get one of these.
part #
52116-20220 (LH) <-- the side you need
52115-20320 (RH)

about $10 from a Toyota dealer

or just leave it as is, it really isn't noticable unless you are looking for it.

i think it should be okay because last year i had mines exactly like that until a few months ago when i had to remove the bumper to put in my projectors on...and then i put all the necessary bolts/screws for the bumper also...

it will hold just fine and no one will really notice it unless you point it out to them, don't worry about it. No need to replace unless you are a perfectionist wink.gif
