Every once in a blue moon when I put my convertible top down to cruise, it doesn't seem to want to go back up. I checked all the wires and made sure nothing was stuck in the joints. It's like it goes a quarter of the way up and then just stops and needs a little push. I don't think many of the members here have the convertible, much less have had problems with it, but if anyone knows where I might find some answers, plz help.

i have never had that problem with my convertible top, but i also just got mine yesterday. the person who had the car before me replaced the top and the motor about a year or so ago. you should check out your warrenty and call up toyota to see if the motor needs to be replaced.

liquid bought it used from a christler(sp) dealer, and it seemed that everything just stopped working on the 91st day he had his car. which was too late for the 90 warrenty. but liquid if you go the whole nine yards you should get a new black top & motor so it'll go with your car.

yeah, that is a motor problem. If I were you, I would just switch to manual because the motors are waaay to expensive.
