the wastegate placement looks really bad to me, being only off one runner.

I'm a big believer in well designed and constructed exhaust manifolds for the 3s when using a large turbo. However, that one doesn't look very well designed. I can't comment on the construction. If I were going to do this mod, I would do a full race or have someone like Carl Crawford make one for me. No sense spending extra money if you don't know if it will either (a) hold up; or (b) see significant performance gains.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

i still cant justify spending close to $1200 on piping for a full race. have you seen the FR knock off, thought it seems to be just as nice. made by a guy in canada named jay for about $650? thats what id use for a larger turbo indeed. im jsut bringing this manifold to peoples attention. maybe 5sfters who want a t3/t4 without manifold adapters ect. much easier. of course there is better out there duh.... but this a very suitable manifold for moderate power goals.
i just like the fact that it is cast iron the most compared to a SSAC.

now THATS a manifold.
i still stand by the statement that the first one you posted is a BAD design, john.
having the wastegate plummed off the one runner is just a bad idea for boost control ect.

thats exactly what is was thinking, of coarse it would slow it down but it seems like some exhaust would continue to flow through the turbine

and oh god i want that turbular manifold

well i had a similar manifold on my honda turbo( called Revhard ) i agree its a bad design it did lead to overboost issues. The good point is that its made pretty solid.
