So instead of getting my engine swapped..I'm just getting it fixed and saving the swap till this summer or next fall. But I'm still getting wheels, springs, and shocks so...tell me what ya'll think of these. Anybody on here got em?

My personal opinion is that Konigs are bad news. I will find some evidence to back it up. They are not a strong wheel, they tend to bend easily and also break. I wouldn't get them if I were you.

check these out...

This guy hit a curb minor body damage but look what happened to the wheel.

Yea there is a guy in my town with them on his jetta. They look ok. But IMO i would take the black bars in the back and change them to the color of the car.

I personally quite like them, there is a show car from Nz that has been doing the rounds for a while with them on and looks real cool (pic below), have also seen WRX,s and a turbo starlet with them, all looked nice.IPB Image

Konigs arent that cheap. My car is black and will prolly remain that color for a long time so I think they would look badass ( black and chrome always do). In response to them breaking..I've seen lots of wheels from different brands break/bend/crack..so I wouldn't pass judgement on one brand when lots do it. As long as I stay away from curbs and don't plow over speedbumps I think I'll be good. In the meantime...my car is in the shop getting some engine work done. So I'll probably order them next week.

exactly, they aren't cheap, they're made cheaply into gaudy god awful designs and then marked up to high heaven. they're single piece gravity cast from poor quality alloys, their price does not reflect the quality at all. expensive things can be total **** too.

Then point me in the direction of well-made reasonably priced rims with not so gaudy designs and I'll buy the sumbitches.

enkei makes reasonably priced wheels with clean designs. quite a few users on here have enkei wheels.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
