well the best thing to do is shave them off, But if you don't have the money to do that i'd just get (close to your car) color of tape or somthing and tape them up. And if you don't want to cover them up right away it doesn't look the greatest but you might get water or somthing inside your hatch.

yeah, the holes are pretty large and noticable. if you want your spoiler permanently gone, then have the holes shaved. but if you want to be able to switch back, then just use some tape over the holes as mentioned.

I originally posted this in a thread about going from 3-post to 2-post but you get the point

QUOTE(hurley97 @ Oct 8, 2006 - 12:36 PM)

There are two screws for each outer post and one for the middle post. The third hole on the outers is where the plasic piece snaps into. One of the holes that are already there should match up with the 2-post. The area circled is where you have to drill the other hole, you'll notice how it flattens/flares out a little.

there was adhesive on mine that took some time to get off (using Goo Gone)

I didn't think I would but I kind of like the spoiler-less look so until I have the time/money to put the 2 post on it will stay that way. I bought an etched vinyl/sticker (of a chevy logo wink.gif ) from Autozone and cut out the clear parts to cover the holes, I figured it would be the easiest to get off later and stay better than some kind of tape because it's made to go on cars. I put some electrical tape on the underside as well, just for the hell of it.

when I put the two post in I'll have more to add smile.gif

the last spoiler-less pic from hurley really makes me think about taking my spoiler off... but i'm still not sure, i think the spoiler really completes the car and curves

I covered the holes left from the three post by doing the following (interim fix though):

Pick up a couple packs of those interior panel plastic fasteners (the serrated plastic plugs) and a box of thick o-rings that will be SNUG around the base of the fasteners. Stick the fasteners in the holes from the top, then work the O-ring over the top of the fastener and down around the base. This will pull the fastener backwards against the hatch and will help to create a positive seal with the O-ring. I haven't had a leak yet and it's been six+ months.

Here's what i had done when i took mine off. But mostly because i am puting 2-post with blocks so they needed to shave all the remaing holes. But it's a good idea to do if your leaving it off for good.
