I have a '91 MR2 NA. It is black with 187,000 miles. It runs great and only has minor problems that would be expected of a car that age and milage. I have babied it, and had the transmission rebuilt about 16,000 miles ago. I have had this car for two years and absolutly love it, however, it has become painfully clear that I need a car with a decent size trunk. The MR2 is just not quite practical enough for me. I am curious if anyone would be interested in trading their celica for my MR2. I am only interested in a manual GT liftback. I have not posted any pics b/c I'm unsure if anyone is actually interested in auch a trade to begin with. Thank you.

I'll trade my rx7, which is a 2 seater as well, but has more trunk space than a suburban:)

Do you have any pics?
My celica has some body work needed.
Idk if my parents would let me, but iv always wanted one

edit: I guess ud want more info, its a stick, red, liftback.
The paint is chipping and there is 2 major dents, fender and door(previous owners fault), but iv gotten rid of most of the rust. I put a new clutch in it 10k miles ago, and the 3rd gear syncro is starting to mess up a but im sure some syncromesh will help that, cause its really only down shifting after highway driving. The pics in my prof are old here are some new ones. I got new toyo proxy 4 tires on it a few months ago they still have realy good tread left on em. The car is still in good condition if you ask me though.Oh also it has a short ram intake with a K&N filter on it.

Hey, thanks for the replies. Vissi, I was interested, but the reason I had the transmission rebuilt on the two was bad synchros. Not something I want to deal with again. I appreciate the offer, but I need something that isn't going to require a lot of work down the road. Also, dagreat1 thanks for the offer, but i'm not really interested in an st. Thanks

Any manual GT hatch is worth a hell of alot more than a 91 MR2 with almost 190k miles.

The oldest celica you could get would still be 3 years newer than the car your trading.

Sure, if you want to look at it from a purely monitary point of view blue book will place a celica at about 500-1000 dollars more than my mr2. But I don't place much stock in blue book value anyway. For instance, I used to have a wrangler and blue book placed it at being worth 2-3000 less than you could actually buy it anwhere. What is really important is the enjoyment you get out of a car. Having had both an MR2 and a Celica ( in a manual GT liftback) I can say that I would rather have the MR2, which by blue book is not as good. If I had enough money to buy another, bigger car and insure it I would b/c I don't really want to get rid of my MR2. I don't have enough money for that so I was looking for a solution where I could get a bigger car that I knew that I liked, without spending said money that I don't have. rolleyes.gif
