does any body know what causes front brake discs to warp . i have changed the discs and pads three times and they only seem to last about one month and then gradually start to warp again

is it just one side that is warping?

it can be you have a frozen caliper that is constantly rubbing your disk.

Heat causes them to warp.
While you can have only 1 side warp, it's very unlikely.
More commonly the whole disc warps.

Lower quality steel/thinner rotors will warp easier than OEM ones.
Not to say you can't get aftermarket rotors that are good quality.

Also, if you drive the car hard [lots of hard braking], and park it before the rotors have had a chance to cool, the part of the rotor that is covered by the pad will be more likely to warp.

I think he meant one side of the car not one side of the rotor.
