If you're going to run a 3sgte. A CT27 would suit you better than nitrous. Little bit more expensive, but you dont have to refill it.

there are a bunch of mr2 owners running n20 on 3sgte mr2's, the motor can take it, traction and clutch are different issues though...

typically a BPU Mr2 (Intake/DP/Exhaust/MBC) with a 50 or a 75 shot is a very solid 11s car even on the stock CT26 turbo...

no 1st hand experience w it though

Well, I wouldnt go nitrous... I've seen many a car blowing up there engine. These celica's are old.. most of them more than 10 years old.

When going for nitrous, I would suggest a good rebuild on any engine for a car more than 4 years old or more than 40k km's on it.

It WILL decrease the life-span of your engine, contradictionary to a lot of poo stories going round.

A friend built a custom system, it shoots nitrous until it hits full boost. He had to wire three solenoids and is a electrical genius.

It is on a Probe though. And he won't let anyone drive it. Bastard.

He moved back to his grandfathers farm in Maryland two years ago, he was a tech at our shop here. Great mechanic, forgot more than I will ever know.

But from what I remember him telling me he just used three 25HP needles and the solenoid from ether injection kits. As the boost came up each one would cut out, he had it wired into a standalone fuel management system, dunno which one though.

It really took the edge off the lag and respool times, I only got to ride in it once. He usually kept it at his place in the garage.

I will see if I still have his phone number.
