Hey guys, Im a Gen 6 stalker . Ive been lurking here for quite a bit, and been planning to buy one. gen 6 cellies have been one of my all time Fav cars regardless of people saying they are girly cars... but anyways, I have found my PERFECT Gen6 cell. (its a 94 ST... but fully loaded(lacks sun/moon roof)) anyways I gotta sell my current car to get it... but anyways... once I get it, It will be a SICK sleeper :-D and I JUST found the PERFECT engine swap for it... (I believe it should fit.)
Drop in one of these bad boys in it... http://www.jspecautosports.com/catalog_pro...aspx?prod_id=90 (now to think about it... I doubt it should work since its off of a Supra and its a RWD car...) than we got the intake, stage 2 clutch, and a new tranny not to mention the muffler (i gotta find one thats not loud but very A+. If the first engine wont fit than I will end up with: http://www.jspecautosports.com/catalog_pro...aspx?prod_id=81 oh and I know the REAR wheels have drum breaks.. what kind would I need to do a disk /ABS conversion? Please keep in mind Im new to the car scene. and when I say new I'm Saying NEW... (these mods will take a coupple of years for me to get done.. but once I do... :D:D ) I CANT WAIT TO GET MY CAR!!!!!!!!!!! This post has been edited by DarkPrince: Jun 29, 2007 - 9:52 AM |

welcome !
you've been looking the site but you need to read a lot more, is ok not to know some stuff, we all start some where. the Supra engine is not gonna work unless you have 20 K to drop in the celi. the 3SGTE can be done, is the best swap when comes to power/cost . you are new to cars, I would advise you to enjoy the car as it is, get to know the car, how it works and then think about modding it. You can't modify something if you don't know how it is put together. one last thing, you can swap the drums for GT rear brake disc, but I don't think you can just swap ABS system in the car, that's a little bit more work than bolting parts together. -------------------- |

IMO those black w/ red dont look good. ALSO if you haven't yet bought this car, don't get too excited about it. You might screw up your bargaining opportunity if you go to the seller and drool all over it. I was excited as hell when I was buyin mine but I had to act...mello heh

yup, I will probably get the 18's... but now I dont even know what mod I want to put in it first... ext or interior.. I assume IF I work on the inside and keep the outside as is, but get a good tint on it, than theft on it will be a lot lower .

^^^he already mentioned it's an ST. Plus he has hubcaps on the car right now, which is another indcation it's an ST.
between the two wheels, i'd get the 18's because the black with red lip doesn't look nearly as good IMO. Welcome to 6th gen ownership! -------------------- |

My GT came with steelies/hubcaps from the lot. It was simply an option from the factory whether or not you wanted the "upper" wheels or the steelies, regardless of GT or ST. |

Welcome.
About the Rims. I would take the 18" White/Black rims. About the Engine. Would be nice to see someone trying to fit a 2JZ-GTE into a Celica. Have been thinking about it (not to really do a swap like that) what it would take to make the Celi RWD. With enough custom work it could work only what would be left of the car and how will the handling be. -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!

I think he meant "Posts" not "Posters". 2 post and 3 post spoilers both came with the celica (as an option). posts are just the "legs" you could say of the spoiler bolted on top of your trunk. some just had one on each side (hence 2 post) and some had an additional post in the middle (hence 3 post). i'd show a pic, but unfornately my car didn't come w/ a spoiler -------------------- |
