hey guys. i dont have a hardcore sound system or anythin, jus trynta find a way to block out my muffler cuz my trunkspace is amplifying it. i know its loud but its not too loud or obnoxious. however, in the car i can barely hear my music when i accelerate. im gonna blow my ears out n not be able to hear anything by the time im 30.
my question is, is there a way to block out the sound of the muffler? maybe dynamatting the trunk? thanks for the help guys! x -------------------- Pandelica 2.0 in progress. |

I'd go with a silencer or a new resonator as well. If you really want to sound deaden your car, there are a lot of options to choose from. The most common ones you'll hear of are Dynamat Extreme, Second Skin, and RAAMmat BXT. The price drops accordingly.
Dynamat Extreme and Second Skin are essentially the same. RAAMmat BXT is thinner and the cheapest of the three I've mentioned. Many people buy this and add extra layers where they feel like it needs more like the wheel wells and along the exhaust piping. IMO RAAMmat BXT isn't as good as Second Skin or Dynamat Extreme, but for most people it is sufficient and cost effective. I recommend getting some paint on sound dampener of your choice as well. Put it in your wheel well between the plastic mud guard and chassis to add an extra layer of dampening. Just be sure to add multiple THIN layers. You can always add a layer of sound dampening to your roof as well |
