Couple of pics with the engine mounted...
On the Dyno.... I snapped a pic of the dyno computer while I was standing there... 324whp! http://www.phoenixtuning.com/toyota/swaps/nick/dyno.jpg One happy guy with Chrys Z on the right, the man who put it in. And hanging out with Dr Tweak, the guy who wired it up! -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

Custom engine mounts unless u can get away with using a skyline k member??, custom driveshaft...thats really all i can think of at the momment. Its pretty much like swapping in an rb -------------------- Now SR powered |

Yeah pretty much, it's actually not all that hard. Custom mount kit and custom driveshaft, obviously some mad scientist wiring at the hands of Dr Tweak, a few little odds and ends, and that's about it. It's actually cheaper to do a 1JZ swap (2.5 Twin Turbo) than any of the RB swaps.

the rb swaps are crazy. a local guy around here has one. the motor just BARELY fits. you could put a feeler gauge between the motor and the low profile radiator fans. thats how little clearance there is. the 2j looks like it fits better, with the exception of the air intake.

Honestly, I would say you're right. The 1JZ goes in even better, even the heater hoses and throttle cable connect right up!
