QUOTE(cnelson @ Mar 18, 2007 - 3:16 PM) how much, should i expect to pay for a kit, and professional install? How hard is it to do it myslef? I want to do it myself but don't wanna mess anything up..? mainstream kits run as low as $500, but 6gc hinges are anything but mainstream. custom kits are usually around 850. u should never have to pay more than 900 unless they're the automatically lifting ones. professional installation varies but shouldnt cost more than 1000. It's pretty hard to do but not unpossible. The pictures on here should give you an idea of what to expect. The only thing i wish i did differently was i wish i cut the fenders more instead of rolling them. rolling warps the middle of the fender outward and there still is a small amount of rubbing. I think it's harder to line it up without the shock. It REALLY helps if you have other people helping you out with this. The first time i installed these, i needed someone to hold the door up and stuff, but the second time around i did the job solo. Yeah one man lambo door job is tough -------------------- |

I also bought my kit used off a 6GC member (forkee). It can be a pain, but it's all about trial and error. Basically, my doors still don't line up perfectly, or open good. I just need to find the time to micro adjust them.
