Possibly another solution to the E153 axle problem, Anyone know about the E56 trans Options

Did anyone else confirmed that this combo works without spacer and without knocking/popping?
It should work no problem on '99 solara E153 right?

91 Camry axles will not fit, the splines are different and will not fit in the hubs.

Not true, i change my axel two days ago, and i got a 91 v6 camry axel. It worked perfectly. The 92+ years are A) too long B) and have Fatter Splines that will not fit into the 6gc hub. I am 100% this is accurate.



My set up:



92 mr2 non lsd tranny - E-153



92 mr2 Inner axles or half shafts



91 V6 Carmry outter axles





set up works perfectly.







Also just so you know 90 and 91 v6 camry axle is the same thing

all you have to do is change the outer c.v. joints and they should work.

Too much work, go with my set up its way easier and effective.

And this requires no spacers to work, unlike the MR2 / Celica All-trac combo?

if you are reffering to me than no, you do not need a spacer of anykind. Just the combo posted above

and are you 100% sure of this, as I am going to buy everything brand new, dont wanna buy things then they will be wrong

Super out of the blue but...

....whats so great about the e153 trans over the s54 trans other then the longer gearing? Is it stronger? and how much power are you ppl running..... i mean manny's s54 has been running power through it for some time with no trouble..... how much power can the e153 hold over the s54????

All i did was put an c52/c56 helical/torsen lsd diff from an MR2 spyder in to my s54 and called it a day.... i figured i wasn't going to run anything over 250 to 300 whp. Plus i had already got familiar with the s54 and its gearing while in the canyons. Ive also heard that the s54 is a bit lighter than the e153

As far as the e56.. this thread goes over the e56 a bit and also talks about an s54 trans with lsd, which i didn't think existed... i thought only the lsd diff existed but didn't think Toyota offered it in the trans with the car off the factory line. This diff i assume is the trd lsd diff which was discontinued and then put into the mr2 spyder.. same part number for both the trd one and the mr2 spyder and the discussion of that is here
