Just thought I'd say hey. I've been the proud owner of a 90 Supra Turbo for the past year and a half. Here's my cardomain site for the Supie: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2487590
Now that I'm taking the Supra out of commission for a full 7M rebuild, I'm picking up a great deal on a blue 95 Celica GT to add to the driveway. The car's in GREAT shape, but needs a little work: 5 speed transmission is toast, driver's side 1/4 window is broken, so's the antenna, and there's a crack in the windshield. Be looking for a couple of Want to Buy threads from me - Especially on the Tranny!!! Once I get it, you can start looking for the Oh Crap, What Did I Do Wrong Threads. |

To revise the above statement:
"Welcome to the site. You'll have fun spending all your money on the celica. Nice to see that you stayed with in the toyota family." But welcome nonetheless! BTW, beautiful supra. Clean, I like! This post has been edited by cHinaman727: Nov 13, 2007 - 9:42 PM -------------------- |

Thanks! Once I post up a couple of pics of the Celica, I'll think you'll like it too... Until you find out what I'm paying for it.
I am looking forward to spending a little time on this car. This will be my first fwd tranny swap, but from what I've read in the BGB and a few other places, it doesn't look like it will be all that bad... |

Hey Matt. That's funny - I recognized your screen name from the main page and wondered if it was the same person... I guess so.
Did you sell your Supra? This post has been edited by Shytheed_Dumas: Nov 14, 2007 - 9:29 AM |

Not a complete change bigrog... I'm definitely keep the Supra, but it is good to keep on with Toyota.
GOOD NEWS: I had the car towed home last night after forking over a whopping $300 cash for my new ride! I also grabbed up a tranny with 94k from a salvage yard yesterday for $350. She needs that 1/4 window replaced and a good washing, but this is the best buy I have ever had on anything. Pics coming later today!! Here are the pics of my new 95 Celica GT. $300 Cash!!!! 144k on the clock, and it's as good as can be for a 95. Like I said, only the tranny, rear 1/4 glass, antenna and cracked windshield are wrong. I guess I'll have to wash her up and install the radio and shiftboot / center cover, too. It did come with a brand new battery, new amp wired in, Sirius reciever/antenna installed, and nearly new tires.
I picked up a tranny with 94k on it for $350 yesterday, too. I'm hoping to be on the road next Weds so the Supie can go down officially for the rebuild. This post has been edited by Shytheed_Dumas: Nov 17, 2007 - 1:23 PM |
