They look ok. Nice pieces the colors work well together
they appear to depict some darkness. I don't really agree with itchy's ethnic pick but we all see something different |

i duno but i get the feeling that its a depressing reminder that death will be with you always and no matter what you do, play (it seems they are trying to fly kites in some of them) dance, and work (i duno, 3rd from the right looks like they are at work or somethin) and at home (first one on bottom row thers a dead blackbird on the window sill) its all around you and its what makes us equal, but different.
i duno, thats what i get from it. -------------------- Pandelica 2.0 in progress. |

To me it looks like examples of the struggles or life experiences of African Americans or other people who have been subjugated in one form or another. While a depressing subject, the art is actually pretty interesting.

Makes me think of New Orleans. I love New Orleans. The art isn't what I would chose for my house but I don't dislike it.

looks to me like scenes from people in an insane asylum. They appear to be looking up as if they are being watched. a few of them seem to be dealing with their own personal nightmares that no one else can see like the 4th one in a cafeteria setting.

IMHO... ghosts or dead people. And in those picture should be displayed what they did few moments before dead. There are normal situations like fish market, family at home, people waiting (railway station maybe) in there, can you see that kid with kite in the last picture? It's like common Sunday of kid with parents... many of them are looking up... maybe some bombing casualties and they are looking on those air planes in the sky or something... they definitely are innocent victims...

slavery.
the white man trying to keep the black man down. I think some people have trouble understanding that these pictures represent the frustration of the majority of black youths out there. -------------------- |
