What's the difference in all the different brands of CAI? Does the brand really matter? I've seen some nameless ones on ebay for like 50 bucks. What's the difference between these and the $200 ones?

Expencive Cold air intakes ussually have better materials that make it lighter and fit in the engine bay more neatly. They also come with a better air filter and heat shielding to keep the air cooler. Expencive ones come with paper work such as CARB legal so you don't get introuble with police or smog shops.
With that been said, the difference in horse power between the expencive and cheap ones are less then 1 hp. |

like he said. expensive ones have papers such as CARB legal, and the filters are better quality.

Yeah, my window was still open and I wasn't sure if I'd already posted. It is more of a short ram...therein is another question... CAI or SRI? I was thinking SRI so I don't have to worry about water, but I dunno...

Well, what I have been told is that you really shouldn't worry about water unless you are completely submerged in it. I'm not 100% sure CAI live up to the hype over them. I used to have one and didn't like the throttle response on it as much as my SRI. Its up to you. -------------------- |

If you are going to get a CAI, buy the one for a 90-93 Accord its fits perfectly (well you have to make one cut, but thats all). The topic about it is : http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=47530&hl=
