Hot asian chick driving up on the 101 this week in a near-flawless black turbo Alltrac...

My heart was racing as I (tried to) pull up next to her...g-damn that was one sexy car (and girl biggrin.gif ).

tongue.gif Damn, that felt like when I saw my first 6th gen back in 97 (when I first started to notice cars).

Can anyone tell me if these Alltracs look different than the standard 5th gens? (the tail light and bumper threw me for a loop 'cause I've never seen one like it before).

Alltracs are widebodys, have a hood scoop and different front bumper. The GT-S are also wide body but do not have the hoodscoop. GT and ST are narrow body. Other than the emblems, there are no more exterior differences between the Alltrac and other ST, GT, and GT-S. The JDM ST185 were availible in narrow body from 90-91 overseas only. Also availible in CS/RC version.

There are a lot of fakes out there with the scooped Hood and Bumper.
The GTS certainly shared the same bumper anyway.

The tail lights and bumper are are shared among fwd.

You really have to look for a gas take at the rear, the FWD have it under the rear seats;
or if you see a rear diff & rear sub frame, axles...

> Hot asian chick driving

Ask if you can look at her rear biggrin.gif

You can attend an AT meet. You have a Celica.
They'll let you in. www.alltrac.net

Alltracks are prety nice looking, too bad they cost as much as our cars and you'll pay $$$ for upkeep/parts. I guess they can also be a pain to work on from what I've heard. I still say my favorite was seeing an actual 5th gen GT-4 RC at one of the Toyota meets last year. Such a sexy car (mm..black).

As soon as I find my cable, I'll upload the pic I took with my cell phone. The rear bumper definitely look different than normal 5th gens 'cause my bro had a 5th once and I can say this one looked alot different than my bro's (from the back). Like I said, couldn't catch her so all I could do was take pics from behind biggrin.gif

Here's another way to differentiate if it was an alltrac or not regardless of its body.
If possible, see if it's RHD, lol i'm not sure if RC's were ever available in LHD, if so, must be really rare because i've never seen one before.
Lol, here in Windsor, ON, there's a black one that's a real RC (in RHD) and a fake white one (LHD) that has all the body parts and and on the door it even sayd 4WD TURBO. hahah I laughed. But hey, i could be wrong if that really is a RC or not.
There's a couple in Toronto, ON. though

My new mechanic has one, he used to work for TRD , I didn't ask him which year , but it was a 5th gen Celica alltrack , LHD with the 3sgte biggrin.gif ... the one he has has barely any interior but he is working on it ( very slowly
) .. first time i went to him i was actually more interested in looking at the alltrac than fixing my car laugh.gif

widebody poverty pack (ST185, ata intercooler, bonnet scoop) and RC (ST185 RC, wta intercooler, bonnet vent) were both delivered to the US in LHD version.

JDM narrow body are common to import here in aussie, usually around 8-10k aud.

all aus delivered ST185 were widebody, we got poverty pack 185 (ata intercooler) and Group A Rallye (150 cars, same as US RC and uk/europe Carlos Sainz)

they look absolutly porn in black no matter if its a ata 185 or RC 185.

You make it seem like it's rare to see a LHD Alltrac with a 3sgte in it. And it's Alltrac, not Alltrack.

I'm pretty sure we never got the RC/CS model here in the US, and I'm also pretty sure the rear bumpers were the same on all trims. There's not really any exterior differences in the back other than the gas tank and stock exhuast. I mean, It could have the JDM vents on the rear, but that's all.

ST185 is a good car, don't get me wrong. I just think the car is a little glorified by people who have never owned one. It's not amazingly fast. No faster than an MR2 Turbo. And they really aren't that hard to come by if you actually look for one. Yes it's rare to see one just driving around on the street, but that's mainly becuase they aren't dependable and the only people who drive them are enthusiasts or on rare occassion, people who have no idea wtf they are driving. I've seen a few driving on the road, and when I drove mine around, I got a lot of attention. It's a nice car but people are beginning to over exagerate the greatness of it like they do with the AE86 (you know what I'm talking about wink.gif). Hahaha, sorry I'm just extremely pissed off at my ST185 and my friend's hachi haha. No offense to Alltrac or Corolla owners out there smile.gif.

i know its not that rare in LHD , but i was trying to point out that its unlikely to find one in RHD out here. Maybe its not that rare of a car but i never seen one before smile.gif , so i was a bit excited lol

They actually sold more ST165s in the states than ST185s IIRC.
But ST165s rust out worse, and aren't worth as much, so more of them are junked. frown.gif

Rear bumpers are identical for all 4 years and all 4 models.
Rear tails are the same for all hatch models within the revision periods [90/91 - 92/93].
Rear spoiler is the same for all 4 years of the GTS & Alltrac.
Only the GTS & Alltrac were widebody.
92/93 GTS shared a front bumper cover with all 4 years of the Alltrac.

The Alltrac and GTS look beefier in the rear than the regular Celicas because of wider tires and the flared fenders.
Sure way to identify an Alltrac is look for the gas tank right in front of the rear bumper cover [hangs down].

US never got the RC, any RHD ST185s, or any homologation spec ST185s [RC/CS/Grp A].
