My blower stopped working yesterday and everything else still works fine. I think its just a wire or something?
It stopped working about 2 weeks ago also, but I smacked the dashboard above the glovebox and it worked fine for a while, but now it's totally dead, how should i go about fixing this? any help is appreciated as it's gotten really cold in the mornings here in atlanta xD |

Open the glove box and there should be some screws to remove and the side trim on the door should pop off too. IIRC there are 3 bolts holding the glove box up.

I believe you have to remove two trim screws first, and then the 3 bolts (w/a socket, 10mm IIRC) to get the glove box out. 1 bolt is bottom rt. corner, 1 bottom left, and I forget where the third is. Oh and there's a tiny trim screw in the middle I think, by the latch.

Perfect - the third "mystery" bolt is on the left side in a place where the view is obstructed somehow [working from memory here]. Sounds like you just have a bad connection there. check my post.
there are 3 screws holding it... the glovebox is held by 4 screws on the top and one on each side. be careful when you remove it... QUOTE(njccmd2002 @ Feb 23, 2008 - 10:55 PM) well, having problems attaching from phtobucket. I took out the ac blower. Yes to all, its located underneath the glove box (behind). Looks like this... after a while, and 4 screws out.. (leave the ones in the middle alone) loks something nasty like this....... after careful cleaning... now its installed, and not thrwing any dust.... . there you go, this is step one.... Please try to keep the thread clean.... I have a little mod i will post tomorrow.... edit: pics into thumbnails. -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... That's right, the mystery bolt is behind the trim, that's why you have to remove trim bolts, so you can pull the trim out of the way. It's on the left side when you face it.

Ok I tried taking it off yesterday but the bottom right part of the glove box side panel seems to be attached witha screw where the bottom panel under the door is. Hard to explain I'll try a diagram xD
* _____*______* l---------------------l l---------------------l l------glovebox----l l---------------------l l---------------------l l____________--l *------------------(*) Possible screw here? The stars are all the screws I've found so far and the one in parenthesis is the one that I think is there but is hidden by a panel. I'll take pics when I get home from school. **on a side note, everything seems to be breaking down! I had to shower this morning in pitch black darkness because the electricity went out I tried the breakers and everything but in the end we had to call an electrician xD This post has been edited by emachine: Apr 17, 2008 - 10:45 AM |
