Camber Kit, Crash bolts. Options

I got new tires today, and went to the dealer to get alignment. They todl me they would not do it because just by looking at the tires they said i needed camber kits.

Judging by the looks of the wheel, you can tell it has a little neg effect; and looking at the old tire, only the rears show different wear.

Im running teins, KYB. I know each car is different. Ive read about crash bolts, what are those and where to find them.

I found these kits are they good.

didn't they tell you that they sell those bolts for ~ US$6.00 a peice ? what kind of stealer did you go to,

BTW I have those same bolts on the link, but honestly you can get the same bolts from the dealer, the part number is somewhere around here.

a) why did you go to a dealer

b) on that setup you should be able to get an alignment perfectly fine.

i always align there, dont trust anyone else in macon.

The dealer said they dont have the bolts for my car, unless they dont know what it is. they offered at first, said they had them but then declined, and told me they were wrong.

And honest to good just by eyeballing, you can tell there is negative camber. take a look at the pic, the orange thing is a level bar in pic 2. You can tell the difference.





Now if i get the kit, i dont seem ti find why some are +/- 1.oo degree and why others state +/- 1.75, they are the same brand.

I would like to have the ones from toyota, but i dont have part numbers... Are they any different. Oh and i dont really dont want to undo my teins. Yes I desperately need spacers..

FYI (some) negative camber is ok and doesn't always effect tire wear. Toe will eat a tire to bits rather fast though.

My car ran ~1*+ or so of negative camber....handling FTW (negative camber increases cornering abilities, too much will decrease braking)

only the front? But the back looks more messed up. Nobody wants to align without camber kits....

so i went to a guy and for $55 he put my camber bolts in and aligned the only deal was that it was so out of alignment from my wreck they couldn't get it to stop pulling.??

what's the next step because i know my frame had no damage.

Front and rear are both adjustable to a point without adding parts. Exactly how far depends on the car.
Whether it needs them depends how far you're out.
You might only need them on one wheel.

Stock specs are roughly 1* neg anyways.

Could be caster or camber, I can't tell you without looking at the car, though a pic of the specs the car is at now would help.

This statement is wrong. Front camber can be adjusted, rears can not. And need camber bolts.

i need help on this too...my back is really messed up after putting up the ksport coilovers...what is the recommended for the fronts camber and the rear?

When i did my alignment they got me at -0.9 on the front and -1.2 on the back, thats in the green zone they have set on the computer. Thats with a Tein Spring drop (1.5" FR 1" RR). Now Im about 3.5" down on all 4 and I've set my camber to lets say -0.75 FR and -0.5 RR with hardly any tire wear, so let's say I hit the jackpot on good camber

for those who have asked me..

these are the camber bolts, and are easy to install....



with them in the box..




out of the box...




basically remove the upper one with a bar..



then try to guess where you want it placed...

i made some marks as to remove most camber possible i just guessed...



once i placed the bolt then it was just a matter of aligning the marks...



then i had





of course, this was eyeballed...

then i had it aligned...

I have the same set up without camber bolts and they alligned it no problem.

the only way to understand is to buy some and put them on
seriously though, once you put them on and spin them in either direction you'll see how it works
