firefox issue: drop down menus do not work while replying. btw: hope all is well. gj Which drop down menus? Everything seems to be working well for me on both Firefox on Windows and on Mac. see screenshot Christian... I have been using Firefox version 2.0.0.14 and nothing drops down when I click on those drop downs (any of them). But using IE everything works fine... EDIT: i'm running Mozilla/5.0 @ Firefox/2.0.0.14 UPGRADE YOUR JAVA!! I'm running FireFox right now and it all works. It's just because the forum is a java application. and the different browsers hae different settings. It's easiest to upgrade by taking firefox to this place and it should run smoothly. If not then you'll have to open your firefox options and allow java to run at it's full capacity. I'm not sure if java was the issue because it started working w/o any upgrade... -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)

I like what I see. Nice job. Much more visually appealing and I enjoy the new features. I didn't notice anything out of sorts with Firefox on my Mac at home, but that seems to have been resolved, from what I've been reading.
I, too, am awaiting the return of the subject on mouseover, but I do like the origination date that's on there now. I also like that if I visit a forum I've read before, it comes up to the new posts. I frequent Car Talk quite a bit and I was sorely disappointed with the last upgrade they made. It seemed like it was the opposite of progress. But you have done a great job and made an actual upgrade here. Thanks for all you do. -------------------- |

Whats the deal with the image resizer? I like the idea, but i think the image size should be changed to 800x600. Its a prefect size to show detail while not being too big. Resizing everything to 640x480 just cause a lot of aisling in the image. This should be fixed now. And for images that are too big, instead of showing them in a new pop-up, the image size is just reverted back to the original size inline. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

How badly do you guys want the hover post preview back? It's a reasonably expensive query to grab the previews for all of the topics on a page. Aka it will tax the server more and make things slower and potentially less reliable.

Also, reply notices to PMs should be working now, so if you reply to a PM, a dot should appear letting you know you've replied to it.

I had to custom code the reply stuff for messaging though. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

They look like they are showing up as 1024x768ish. 800x600 would be perfect, if you could do that. Having them resize without the pop up window is nice btw! -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

Yeah, that's what i do for a living... Why do you think i'm here all day
But still, it's just too much thinking to rescript protocols and re-wright java during personal time... well that's IMO at least... -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! Or are they wider than the screen? I set it up so that they should be a max size of 75% of your screen width before they resize. This way, users with large monitors don't have to suffer with small photos (since the full size version is loaded anyway.) -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

Wider then the browsers window causing the horizontal scroll bar to come up.
Keep in mind that most people dont have their browser set to full screen at all times. Here is a screen shot of what i mean. Click the thumbnail for full version. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

Ah yes, I didn't take that into account. By default the forum software uses the screen width, not browser width, probably for cross-browser compatibility of some sort. I'll have to play with it later.

So what is biggest non resi[z]ed resolution of picture? It's not still 640x480 right? Edit: It appears to depend only on the resolutution of your screen and size of your browser now. This post has been edited by BloodyStupidDavey: May 19, 2008 - 5:33 AM -------------------- Davey

The hover post preview feature should be back and working now. Still needs some tweaking that I'll maybe do tonight.
