I got these iris bulbs free from Craigslist about 2 years ago, and have waited for them to bloom since. They finally bloomed! Too bad it's been raining so much here, they got all soggy and rotted looking shortly thereafter.

Canon EF-S 18-55mm f3.5-f5.6 (those in the know....shut up tongue.gif)
Canon BG-E3 Battery Grip (makes it so much nicer to hold, and added battery power is win regardless)

Three more I took today...I had nothing to do...lol.....If anyone could lend some pointers to taking pictures of small things it would really help; the purple and yellow flowers were about the half the size of a penny and hard to get proper exposure on.

Use a tripod - when focused so close - the slightest shakes can ruin a photo.

^yup...or bump up the iso and bump up the f-stop to get an even light balance and still have a fast shutter speed to prevent a blur of the picture. next time we hang out eric, i will give u a few pointers
