omg some people are idiots! (not saying you guys)
Seriously people, everyone makes stupid speech mistakes, especially when you are talking infront of the world. He never once said he ONLY stayed in the USA, so technically he could have went all over the usa (and mexico/canada) and it would be possible to goto 57 states. Secondly his math is right if you do his math starting with 47 instead of 57. 47 visited states + hawaii + alaska = 49 states. (hawaii and alaska is not allowing him to go) 49 + one more state he has to go to? |

I thought about Canada, but it just seemed mean. They're still their own country at least. And as long as they don't have any oil, they'll evade the long Technically, every nation is a state. In fact, the term is nation-state. And then there are the sub-units, which make up countries such as the United States of Mexico (wonder how many people realise that's the actual name of that country). On the oil issue...um....you mean no oil aside from the Alberta oil sands or the east coast oil platforms, which between them make Canada one of the largest importers of oil to the U.S. and are a major factor in the rise of the Canadian currency against the American dollar (aside from the fact that your government is spending so wildly it has to keep raising its maximum allowable total debt limit while we're paying our debt down). Oddly, came across a nice clip of a Republican governor who's campaigning for McCain, who was asked to give examples of how McCain's approach to the economy is different from Bush as his campaign keeps claiming. The response, after much hemming and hawing: "I'm drawing a blank." Let's reiterate, this is someone who's been given all the scripting available to campaign for McCain. Socially, Obama's much more in line with Canadian values, but just to note, his views on trade and protectionism like most Democrats are likely to negatively impact Canada's economy, which is reliant (though not as much as it once was) on exports to the U.S. |

Not to keep fueling the fire here... but I was watching on fox news about how Obama went to Germany and Spoke to somewhere around 200,000+ people there. Pretty impressive.
Then to make their news coverage "fair and balanced" (cough) , they quickly started talking about what McCain did with his day. They said he went to a local German restaurant in Ohio, and showed him sitting at a table and talking to 3guys...lol. I thought the contrast there was kind of funny. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
