or wetsand and get it re clear coated... or seomthin. how much was ur paint job btw? if you are asking me,,,,, my paint job cost me 1700, just the paint cost 500, black sapphire pearl, luv the shine of the blue with the sun, looks luxurious ! you dont know what water spots are? do you use distilled and deionized water in a clean room or something? no dont know what they are. please explain.? ? are you talking about when yoy use a towel to dry off your car? and it leaves dryed up spots of wateR? water spots appear let say, you wash your car on the sun, with the heat, the water vaporizes leaving a mark that consists of minerals, a white blurry ugly spot, that cannot be taken away so easily if not washed or cleaned immediately, it can become really hard to remove it, unless you buff the car or clear coated again,,, but we are looking for alternatives, you can avoid waterspots if you use distilled water or deionized water, why, because that type of water has been previously treated to eliminate all the minerals and bad stuff. you can avoid them also by washing your car on the shade, in my case, it rained like hell and 30 minutes later the sun appeared, so my car was not dry, the sun evaporated the water off my car leaving spots all over the car. that helped? right now i am going to walmart to buy a clay bar, i will see how it goes. -------------------- |

I had the same problem and someone recomended Meguiar's Quick Wax. It worked great, no more water spots and the paint looks much shinier. Here's the link so you see what I'm talking about: http://www.meguiars.com/?spray-car-waxes/Quik-Wax
It's easy to use too because it's a spray, just follow the directions. You can find it at Pep Boys for about $6. This post has been edited by Rider: Aug 1, 2008 - 10:06 AM |
