Hey guys! (Introduction) Options

Hey guys,

Just recently registered here and posted a question about an instrument cluster... Got some pretty quick responses and looks to be a great community here...

I currently own a 5th gen 1992 white Celica GTS I've had for about 1 1/2 years... Had a timing belt break on it due to the valve cover leaking fairly bad and saturated the timing belt... Got it all fixed and the distributor which also messed up... Still going strong (timing belt didnt bend any valves WHEW!)

Also just recently purchased a 1996 Celica 1.8L car.... It has a Curren frontend conversion .... Nice car... The Curren frontend needs to be painted which I planning on doing eventually (when I find somewhere that does a decent job at an OK price here in Florence, SC)

.... My first car was a 1991 Toyota Camry and after that I got a 1986 Nissan 300zx... That 300zx has been a GREAT car to me hardly giving me any problems at all over the years I've owned it and it currently has 219,000 miles on it (I still got it, but am going to finally sell it) ..... I had always liked Celica's though and Toyota cars in general... I finally got the 1992 Celica then the 1996 one this year...

Well just giving a short introduction of myself here... Hope that wasn't too long winded


BTW... The 1996 is a Celica ST Coupe... Dunno how I ended up putting GT Hatchback on the profile but I'm not seeing anywhere that I can change that... Probably just overlooking it haha.

it's 96st206's old car. i would loved to have gotten it from him but he lived to far away. i'm glad you joined up though. i would love to do a curren vert someday but that's in the distant future. get that front end painted right.

with a lip kit and a little love the curren would rock the house!

just needs a trd spoiler to be amazing

parts are going to be very hard to find especially in the states. if you want exterior parts for that front end i would search ebay.co.uk a ton and try to see if you can get anyone to ship to the US. otherwise if i recal he had the TRD front spats on there so you should be fine. if it were my car i would get the trd curren/celica coupe rear spats then sell the oem sides and get 404 skirts (match up better with the spats) and lastly a TRD curren/celica coupe spoiler. new rims and a lower. but that's just what i would do. since it's not my car though you shouldn't listen to a word i say lol

Hey thanks for the welcome... Yea the front end definitely needs some paint... I probably will repaint the whole car when that time comes....

I LOVE those pics of those Currens above... I too wish they would have brought Currens to the states
