My car! Scratch that. I'd like for my car to stay in one piece after it sells. wink.gif

Get a mustang. Cheap RWD power. And when you crash it, you'll be doing the world a favor. laugh.gif

Please do not put yourself behind the wheel of any of those. You will wreck it.

Not to mention your not going to get those for under 10Gs; aside from an SRT4 or Miata.

mustang!

it has enough power so you dont have money to mod it to be fast.

its rear wheel drive so its a whole lot better handling then all those FWD cars you posted. (ok not better handling, but a whole lot more fun to drive)

and its way under the 10g marker.

Why don't you take that money and get a Certificate of Deposit.

OR

Take it and put it as a down payment on a NEW car that way you wont have to WORRY about that kind of stuff.

Buy a NEW car and SAVE money till you get OUT OF COLLEGE and then spend ALL THE MONEY you get from your new job on ANY CAR YOU WANT.

Seriously, I bought a Honda Fit. Handles like the Celi, and is brand new. Cost me 17g otd, 13g financed and I have payments of about 250 for 4 years. (special rates)

I say you go with the Mustang idea. i love them, they are fun to drive. but.... do NOT wreck it. i'd much rather see a Civic bite the dust instead...

just my .02.

PS. Miata's are alright too. but only a two seater.

Have Fun!

Lexus SC300. A cheap luxury car with the non-turbo'd supra engine (also RWD). Could probably get one for about 5-10k easily. they also come in V8's (SC400)

get a S14, FC3S or AE86. Nothing beats cheap RWD power.

I know up here you could get a HCR32 (Nissan Skyline GTS-t) for about $8000

Also, F the WRX. Get a 2.5RS. I know that sounds rough but when it comes to Subaru you want to go for the lightest platform. You can always swap in a wrecked WRX's engine a few years down the line (since most people who drive a WRX drive like a tard) or turbo it but IMO the GC is the most bad-ass looking Subaru ever. You could probably find a cheap 2.5RS and still have enough money for a turbo and some sticky tires.

Still with a 10k you have so many options of cheap power.

Okay, I might get flamed for this but... 88-91 Civic hatch. 1000-2500 for a good one, 1500-2500 for a B18C(170-200hp depending on variant), 1500 for a good suspension. That generation of civic is known for being super light-weight and being able to tuck a B-series engine under the hood. I know its a Honda and Honda's are gross but who can say no to 200HP @ 8,200 RPM from a stock engine.
