ooh yeah to add to _jim_ wrc set up..the wrc motor comes with steel turbines 74080 which in the stock non-wrc st205 they come with ceramic turbine 74040. thats why the wrc has the anti-lag system the turbo itself can handle much more then a ceramic ct20b. just my little add on to this post..

even the WRC version that came from the factory will not be able to handle the anti lag system that is installed in the wrc 205. hence why TTE replaced the turbos after every rally.

the steel wheeled 20b's are definetly alot less likley to shatter than the ceramic ones with higher than normal boost.

yes of course. your right the wrc version steel turbine 20b wont be able to handle the anti-lag system for long..but it would be able to handle more then a ceramic turbine 20b. im guessing thats why they put the 74080 steel turbine 20b into the wrc version st205. but with a big pocket or sponsors you can blow threw anything and not worry. so the point of me adding on to jims wrc motor is that it comes with a steel turbine ct20b..not a non-wrc ceramic ct20b.
people will argue that the steel turbine is better and others would say the ceramic turbine is better. but who really know. all i know and have read on, is that the steel turbine ct20b can handle more abuse then the ceramic one. but correct me if im wrong.

and yes exactly what i was going to say...that they do replace the turbo after ever race..haha biggrin.gif i didnt see your edit

haha at 20 psi i got 304 to the wheel and 286lb of touque..with devil/meth injection..fuel pressure reg and the power fc..tune at 93oc havent tried it with race gas but yeah that was my sheets. ive heard that its really stresses the turbo at that psi, but some mr2 guys have been doing 20psi daily and have no problems. so yeah yours might be close to that or maybe more depends on the tuner and you have cam. but yeah your motor looks sexy i remember mine when i had it out like that and replacing everything. good luck with the tune..and install

Yea MANY mr2's have been pushing 20 on ct20b's daily, so I am not worried. You are running meth injection currently? I would like to see your setup and where you installed the nozzle, I have the factory water injection to work with so im set, but I would like to see where you installed your nozzle. I wont be getting it tuned, there is no need. At 17 psi it dumps all the fuel it has anyway. I would like to see your dyno sheet.

If the picture of the GEN3 is the one you have in your profile, you do not have a WRC.

Did you guys powercoat that intake manifold, valve cover and heat shield?
Im impressed. Motor looks great and a color choice for the coating is excellent.
Props for doing things right.

Thanks Art, but no. It is actually autozone High Temp paint, there highest rated paint "2000*" Yea I liked the color because it wasn't so much "bling", it was more of a clean looking install.

Thanks man I took my time, like I said from the start, I am in no rush with this project. All is looking good so far, it is only a matter of time now. I ordered the new ACT disc, and took off the pieces I needed off my old tranny and will be shipping it off to Manny tomorrow. It should be fun. o0o0o0o0o and you should come to Island dragway with us on the weekend of November 8. Anyone that is local and looking to get some 1/4 mile runs in should come, or anyone looking to just bug out for weekend should come. Thanks again Art

haha im surprise that you say that jim.. you only see one side of the car and not a up close picture of the motor. how can you tell if its not a wrc or not.. not to say that your the only one that has the wrc on here but yes i do have one..and from the picture you cant tell nothing from it....ill show you pictures of the dyno sheets and my motor but yeah please do not say i dont have a wrc motor..or a 3rd gen. cause if any other person looks at your motor and mine they wont be able to tell the differents...just ask all the minnesota people on this site and all the mr2oc guys they know i do...so dont doubt me just cause i dont post fancy things like you guys do..

LOLOLOL I must have struck a nerve, LOLOLOLOL well there is ONE HUGE way of telling whether or not you have a WRC or not......and that is the heat shield. The heat shield on the wrc and the standard ST205 are very different. By looking at your profile, you have the standard st205 heat shield.....or so it seems from the picture. If it is just the angle of the camera, then I am wrong LOL it happens, trust me. If you could post up a couple of pictures of your motor, it will be very easy to tell if you have a WRC or not. Im not saying I am the only one with a WRC LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL because I could care less.

haha you didnt strike a nerve or anything..its just funny that when someone points out things..haha ive had my motor for a little longer then a year now and i know whats wrong and good about it. i dont like the anti-lag system cause it blows turbos and i use my car for daily driving i dont need it to super spool everytime i do something wierd and end up getting my car stolen from the little car theives around here. i never had the stock heat shield cause when i got the bare motor it was crushed from shipping so i had to get a stock 205 one. also im surprise you even notice the heat shield cause i did too. thats good you care less cause i care less too..and please dont say i use these excuses to cover up anything cause if you was my buddies you would have been there when i got my motor. sorry i dont have people like you guys that know everything.. all i know is that i work on my motor myself and figure out things on my own. i just dont send it out and then read about my motor and bust people out when they dont say the right thing...so please dont take this to the heart we are all 6gc owners here and know our own motors....we know what we can do and what we cant. some people just dont have the time, money, and thing to show everyone what they can get and brag about it.

The factory anti-lag is not activated. You can still have the tubes and everything in place and not affect drive abilty. Just a little FYI. So you put the stock st205 heat shield over the WRC exhaust manifold and anti-lag tubes?

There is nothing wrong with having Manny do work for us....so many members here have or would have him help if they had a chance..Whats wrong with having him work on it when we no he is gonna get it done faster and he is gonna get it done right...and he teaches us everything..he has thought us so much.

With reading this post over and over something just doesnt seem right...I mean where are the dyno sheets and the pictures...you keep saying over and over your gonna post them so then just post them...See thats why you have a problem with us(Me Manny Jim Dustin Steff) who ever else..bc we dont sit here talking we just do...in no way do any of us brag we are just happy with what we have and we like to help other members out so we post up complete details of our set ups and how we went about doing it.

You didnt want the anitlag manifold? Why not?

I am personally offend bc you make it out to be bad to have someone help you with your setup...in that case every member here who has asked for help is not as capable as you are..and I guess you are better then the rest and that's why you don't post up your threads on everything you do..bc the threads of your setup are to good for the members here to learn off of.

In no way am I jealous of ur setup or amazed by it...I enjoy reading about real people who think of different things to make there celica stand out...it might be with a turbo .. or ...with a paint job .. or ...with a radio .. or ...with doing something different with the lights..I enjoy reading that thread and getting a good feeling while reading it bc you can tell how proud the member is for doing something to there car.

You may or may not have a wrc to be honest I don't care it doesn't change what I have it doesnt make my car less of a car nor does it make Jim's but you just enjoy driving you wrc...Because your the only person that has to enjoy your car...to me I still feel like your trying to convince yourself that you have something amazing that your driving. Just be happy with what you got.
