Winter season coming.... but i cant take off my rims cause I lost my lock for tha lugs to take out tha rims.... anybody know how else i can take it out...? or if a shop will do it.... and for how much?

those rim locks are generic.... just go to where you got the rims and ask for a rim lock set.... cost some bucks, but you will get another key....if they are toyota rims then just go to toyota and ask for a new key....

Even if the place sells the same brand, they can't be undone without knowing which key set they need. There are normally at least 20 different keys for each brand.

Any shop should be able to get them off for cheap though. They can use an air tool to break them(may damage rims slightly around the lugs). I had mine done at Firestone for $20 after Toyota lost my key.

Hey, same thign happened to my bimmer... well i was on a trip left the lock at home an had a flat.... theres a tool the hammer on the lug and and it twits on an they can get them off.... it didnt totally screw up the lugs i mean there still usable but there like these little cuts or so in them.... they did it for free for me......but it was only two an i just road on 4 lugs the rest of the trip

I had to weld on a bolt of some sort and impact the damn things off... It was a pain in the arse... now I always keep around 2 spares... ;]

i am assuming that he needs to take them off for winter because of snow which eats the crap out of the finish on rims. I think that he lives in Minn which gets a hell of a lot snow.
