That pic looks more like "satin" black than full-on matte black. Looks sharp as hell though, I like!

i like that.. has no one else done it?

i think very very lightly smoking the lights just to dull them down a bit will look awesome too.. and matte silver wheels.. or better still powder coated!

basically im thinking of doing this coz my car had the front of it pulled off it today in a parking lot (i was sitting in the car at the time!!).. im really having no luck with this car so im gonna do something with it that can be repaired easy!

That satin looks good. How hard is it to spray that stuff (with a paint gun)? How much would it be to get it professionally done? I don't think spraying with rattle cans would look as good.

its the exact same as spraying a normal colour, and shouldnt cost any more coz the only difference is that a matting agent is added to the paint and laquer..

i should add too that on my previous 200sx, i had a matte black cockpit/roof... i did it first with a gun and matting agent, but the finish wasnt "dirty" enough.. so i re-did it with rattle cans and it came out sweet.. ill see if i can find pics..

theres also a pic of a rat style s13 knocking about too..

Katie and I were actually thinking of going Satin black if we ever repainted our Celi. I think it would be INCREDIBLE if done right. There's some pics of a C5 Vette over in europe that was done in Satin black that was AMAZING.

Every time I see a matte car, regardless of how it was done, I think it looks rattle canned. I just don't like the matte look at all. kindasad.gif
