Hey just wondering why gas is so cheap and what are some of the prices you all have seen.
Is it because of the elections?

Global economic turndown. Lower demand for oil, even though opec is trying to "stabilize" oil prices at a still inflated 70-90 USD a barrel by cutting production. A lot of political undertones going along with the oil roller coaster.

you guys are lucky, america's servicemembers are paying 4.06 here in japan because AAFES bought so much in bulk, and they have to run out of this 'bulk' before the price drops. hopefully it does before prices go back up.

 They were probably trying to save you before it hit 7.00 a gal, but then it droped. Well, Do your part to help, and run high boost really fast everywhere so as to help burn up all that expensive gas  j/p

The reason for the lower prices is because the stock market crashed, and the two oil tycoons are finally leaving the white house. I just filled up for 2.44. Oil prices shot up because there was a new law passed that allowed stock market investors to speculate on the future price of oil. This caused people to game the system in order to drive prices higher and higher in order to help oil companies make record breaking profits. Now that the stock market crashed, all the speculators pulled out to try to save their own ass, and you see the price fall back down to normal supply and demand levels.
