that's weird on the gauges ... the DSD-SLMII's that we have light up a nice deep red at nite.
you may have gotten the amber ones for them to light up orange?? -------------------- '87 AW11 MR2 "Super R2" 4AG-ZE swapped Stage 1 Complete

That's what I'm thinking. When they do the warning thing do they change color cause notice the sticker says "A.Red" - Amber/red? My turbo timer does that - it's annoying cause I wish it was the exact opposite [normally red but blinks orange].

yeah ours say A.Red too but from looking at vids on youtube the X-Line gauges def. light up more of a amber/orange color.
i can show you a couple pics of the DSD SLMII that we have... hard to capture the color on camera. it doesn't look that light colored in real life as it does in the 2nd pic, but i guess there is a amber hint to it slightly ... it matches better in real life i think. our hks turbo timer is also orange which sux big time -------------------- '87 AW11 MR2 "Super R2" 4AG-ZE swapped Stage 1 Complete

Same one I have. Maybe one of the electronics wizes here can figure out how to reverse that.
I was looking at those exact gauges but they were $200 each so I went for these instead - guess I'm gonna have to take them back and bite the bullet and pay more -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. Get a set of Prosport gauges. Their red is actually red. All of the STI guys to it to match the rest of the OEM red lighting. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

Nah - not on mine - they're internally lit by several well placed small LEDs so they light evenly.
Damn - which ones are those? Those would match the TRD boost gauge perfectly. -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. Yea I think they do..autometer has a bunch of different styles..I personal like simple like just the black with added color..Im not into all the fancy ones..I think it looks much more professional when its left simple.
Here is a link to the products for the sport comp..they do have sport comp II but I am not sure the difference. They are the Pyrometers at the bottom http://autometer.com/cat_gaugelist.aspx?si...id=1&szid=2 I guess one goes a little higher then the other..one gauge goes to 14 or 15 and the other to 9. I also not sure the prices but I can look. oo actually they have 3 different ones. here is a sport comp II for sale on ebay... I dont really know the difference in the numbers for these gauges. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AUTOMETER-S...emZ260288966729 This post has been edited by supershannon77: Oct 27, 2008 - 6:34 PM -------------------- |

The following is just updating and consolidating the discussions of the interior and engine bay work I've done most recently and added to those multimedia threads. I just want to keep this progress thread as complete as possible so that I can look back later [And more than likely shake my head and sigh at the amount of time/money I've spent total ]
Finished my interior restoration project Friday night before the Supra meet [Finally]: What do you guys think? it's not as multicolored as it looks - the camera just lends that look for some reason. The reds all match quite well actually. -SS-III Seats -Toyota Hyper Sports Mats -TRD SS -Black carpet -Dealer Option Armrest etc Just FYI for future carpet swappers - the coupe carpets are indeed about 4-6"s shorter than the hatch carpets so if you change out make sure you get one from your exact model. Both mine and D-Man's are now slightly longer or shorter than they should be but I've got a good plan on how to fix mine and his is just tucked into the back seats a little more than normal. SUCCESS!! I wanna see it! but it already looks 1000 times better. Oh and bTW, my (your) carpet still isn't fitting in the door jam right. It's really pissing me off. But i'm glad to have made that trade, we just gotta do something about that headliner, and you'll be good to go! Great job there man, great job! those red and black seats look pimp id be willing to trade my ivory leather for some I saw Deaths interior last weekend and i must say hes done a hell of a job with it. Looks damn good! I saw Deaths interior last weekend and i must say hes done a hell of a job with it. Looks damn good! oh yeah, i've seen the interior of the interior Seriously, you'd be surprised the things we found when we traded carpets. I had enough money to go and buy booze when it was done and over with And even better, We've discovered that vert and hatch have different sized carpets Lisa deserves half the credit too - she spent nearly 4 hours cleaning every tiny little thing while it was out half the credit? Dude, do you know what that carpet has been thru? The dude i bought it from NEVER put the top up; including minor rain showers. not to mention all the sh!t he's spilled in it, and oh my good ness. That's why i said to pressure wash it and then shampoo the damn thing. Fcuk cleaning that nasty carpet by hand. Why do you think i never cared if sh!t was on that carpet? Dude, I've yet to have a sinlge item on the floor sense the swap. Lisa deserves ALOT for cleaning that nasty thing. I wouldn't even do it This post has been edited by DEATH: Nov 11, 2008 - 2:06 PM |

the SS-III seats & black carpet really finished off the interior & made it so OEM fresh - looks so nice in person. Lisa did such an amazing job cleaning that carpet, it looked brand new. have you gotten the STRI gauges worked out yet? bummer that the X-Line are Orange - yuk now just turn the boost controller a click & get up to 10-12psi ... i promise Elise will love the cooler weather Orange - yuk Orange is FTMFW... WTF are you talking about?!^ not when the rest of the interior is red. ^ not when the rest of the interior is red. To-chey. Or however you spell that word. Bottom line is you're right! death your interior looks really familiar. I love it. Nice job on it - and I'm glad you stuck with the black carpet idea over the dyed carpet idea. That might've been cool, but then again it might've looked like dog vomit. Kinda risky IMO. Everything looks sweet though, you must be very happy!!! DEATH, your interior looks pretty damn good now, but just imagine putting in something like LilJoe has for the overkill sickness. Your car already has a badass look to it outside, why not transfer that inside? I was gonna do something over the top with the red carpet but I rolled like that for a week and it grew the wrong way on me. I dig Joe's interior but that's his thing. Trust me - it looks aggressive enough at nightime with the gauges lit Thanks again tho guys. yes i agree i love the seats i want them too, im going red and black for me though since my car is red. lol who knows my car may become your cars, bizzaro to superman thing lol I think Death has in the bag. GriffGirl should about doing a calender with inteeriors for 2010. LoL. It'd be somethin totally different.

Finished up a few things and cleaned it up about halfway to where I wanted it to be before the Austin Hillcountry Cruise Next time you see it hopefully will have the Koyo Racing Radiator and the TRD Radiator hoses installed [That is if the shop would hurry up and finish a bit of welding on the radiator - they've had for almost a month now I'd do it myself but I don't trust myself to weld thin aluminum] Wow that looks absolutely beautiful non clocked turbo's are the devil does death have 3 horns? stealth black piping is cool, and the tig welding on the top one looks good. non clocked turbo's are the devil does death have 3 horns? You wouldn't belive how dangerous it gets driving a car that's up to my waist in a town filled with 15ft high pickup trucks That reminds me - I need to clean up that wiring when the Koyo goes in soon. Thanks guys That's clean as hell. Nice. its a pretty full engine bay I like this what is that middle strut bar. Seems I forgot to answer you njccmd2002 - it's custom. "15 ft high trucks".... most of them with boost. The ones that have no boost have spend enough time in the mud and woods that they dont care if they wreck your a$$ or not Some have both all have gigantic ramming bars...

I'm not seeing a middle strut anywhere? BTW DEATH, what engine is that and it's blown right? That would be a 3s-gte and no it isn't blown. It's running just fine and dandy. The middle strut is the strut that does not contact the firewall, and it's BRIGHT red. You cant miss it. It's also hand made. In person it looks perfect too!! -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive.
