I am looking for some wheels preferably 16 inches. My car is black so I'm thinking black wheels, I really know nothing about them so any advice as far as brands or sites to by from would be helpful.

I'm gonna say no on 7th gen wheels, unless you get spacers. FITMENT makes wheels look good, and 7th gen wheels are very tucked on a 6th gen. I don't have any suggestions off hand (i'll look later) but find something with at least a +35 offset if you are looking at wheels that are around 7" or 7.5" wide.

better a little tucked in and knowing where your place is, then trying to look like everyone else.

cheap, lightweight, strong, good looking, 7 spoke, 5 spoke, 6 spoke, what are you looking for???

you can go simple with work wheels, Volk Rays, or you can go VIP AME rims that i have my eye on one biggrin.gif

(yes i just got my 18's but these AME's are BA biggrin.gif )

these are the ones i have my eyes on

this site has a listing of all sorts of rims

16s are too small. 17's to me is that in-between compromise. Get brands such as work or ame. I like rare wheels compared to common ones. After that hook up your tires with ZR 40 series wheels. They are not thin if you get the right combination - mine look like 45 series.

Knowing where my place is? laugh.gif Luckily for me, I stopped caring what everyone else thinks back when I graduated high school.

And quite the opposite is true. I rarely see cars with nice flush wheels. I think I'll have my car with excellent fitting wheels, even if I'm "trying to look like everyone else". Either way, reading that statement was good for a laugh!

that's why Hawaii peopel are soo coool biggrin.gif

but yeah...16's too small...18's too big...17's just right but reall cant find one that would appeal without looking smaller/bigger than it is.

I prefer the stock upgraded look, which is why I prefer the GTS wheels and even the TC wheels that I had on my car before I sold it.

I think the TC's look fantastic with some spacers in the rear. It's hard to get wheels perfectly flush in the rear anyways since the rear wheels are sucked in stock.

I like those wheels you have your eye on - Black spokes with chrome/polished lip thumbsup.gif

I have a set of 18" Wolfrace Snipers (Black spokes with polished lip) on at the minute.

I plan on buying some raze r74 like the ones vincent doggy posted that pic of the black celica. Im gettin those with silver finish from a website in miami florida.

Its called edgeracing.com probably the cheapest wheel and tire package site online that i know of. Only bad thing is almost all of their 17" rims are sold out for the moment. So they won't restock for another month. freagin dumb frown.gif

AGREED!!!!! thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif

to me, I see it sometimes chambered at the back like a V.I.P car... It would look weird but be unique at the same time..
