mr pittfirefighter had this to say in a topic i read just this morning

copy pasted from this thread http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=64286
**** important info on the greddy e-manage****
this thing is not made for the 3sgte... it causes nothing but trouble for it. I recently spoke with Dr. Tweak and he says to stay away as well. Not only is it built poorly for a Toyota engine (it can't interpret some of the ignition signals) but Greddy is also bankrupt so getting help for this thing is nearly impossible... stay away and you will be happy wink.gif

dr. tweak has alot of firsthand experience with 3sgte's and other forced induction engines/ a master of wiring for swaps and you can see his work on http://www.southerncarcustoms.com/GS_Projects.htm ...clicky that link

id trust tweak until proven wrong...

i have heard great things about the e-manage with other vehichles... other than the fact that they are bankrupt and support for them is dwindling.... the 3sgte and toyota engines specifically use an ignition setup that is very hard for the e-manage to interpret.... there has been a lot of success using the e-manage without the ignition harness...

another thiing... i was specifically referring to the generation 2 engine code of 3sgte... not the third gen that you have... i am not well informed on the 3rd gen cause there were several differences between the two including switching from MAF to MAP

please refer to my other topic for a reply to this post... your 4th gen won't have the problems that a 1st and 2nd gen will... 4th gen uses a different ignition system altogether...

i believe that its the same style ignition as the 1st and 2nd gen... i am not sure about this... someone else needs to verify this.... you might want to check at alltrac.net... they have a lot more information about the e-manage and 3sgte especially 3rd gen
