ok guys...i have a plan

since i only have a sucky slow celica st, i am going on a trip to visit costarica this week....i bought my car here with 75,000 miles and now i have about 80,000 on it...i bought it for 2300 and in costarica i can sell my car for 8000 or more....should i get rid of my baby there and get that money and when i come back look for a celica GT and with w.e money i have left over do the 3s swap????
its just a thought...and it could work....it costs 300 bucks to send it from miami to costarica on a boat so its not expensive at all...
id love to hear the opinions over everyone thanks!!! =)

It's really up to you i guess. I want to do alot of things on my celi but its my dd. If you can really make that much money out of selling it, i'd say go for it.

ok...to send it on a boat it cost 300 bucks dude....i can get 8k for it over there cuz everyone there likes these types of cars u know? they see that its in good condition and since they dont give a crap about how many miles the car has they wont mind as long as it runs good ya know? put it this way...my mom has a 1998 mercedes benz ml320 and here in miami its worth about 6k and she sold it in costa rica for 20k so....its a hell of a big difference!!! lol so if i can sell mine for 8k i can buy a nice gt here for 4k and then have an extra 4k to fix it up and stuff

can you sell my 96 civic with 300k miles for 6k? ill even ship it to you + pay for shipping fees to costa rica smile.gif i say dont. leave it in the states. that's one less celica and pretty soon there wont be any left. it's not like you can't swap a 3sgte into the ST model. just get custom mounts or GT mounts and you're good to go man. whatever your decision is, good luck. but i hope it stays in the states

Cali already said it, but you can't get a GT4 in the States for that much. But if you really found a way to do it, then selling your car would be a great investment. Sell your car for $8,000, import a real GT4, sell it for twice as much. Import another GT-4 for the same $8,000, sell it again for twice as much, and just keep that going. You'd make a killing. BUT you'll never be able to get a GT-4 here for that much. I say if you really can get that much out of your car in Costa Rica, you might as well do it. But instead of buying a GT for $4,000, I say spend the full $8,000 on a nice GT and save up the money to do the rest. You'll thank yourself when you aren't constantly repairing a $4,000 car.

here's my two cents..

well.. it all depends on how often you do go back to costa rica!!.. it all depends on situations too!!.. if i were you.. i'll do it.. since you're in this forum.. make full use of it.. alot of ppl are selling their celis here.. i'm not sure of your background!!.. but i'll do this part time.. as in buy n sell a celica once a month!!.. try with one.. sell your ST or ask your dad for help.. start a business!!.. take a loan from him!!.. buy another celi!!.. start with 1.. start slow.. get to know how things work.. if its too much trouble n not worth the time n effort.. then quit!!.. but if it really works.. then 2.. then 3.. etc etc.. when you know how things work.. its alot of money we're talking bout here!!.. so why dont use this opportunity.. unless its one time deal.. if not.. sell a couple.. make this a living!!.. or set a target!!.. like when you sell like 10 celis.. retire!!..

is your ST your 1st car?? i understand bout sentimental value.. but when you have money.. you can buy back your ST!!.. wouldnt you agree?? or own more than 1 celica!!..

peace out!!..
