these are local to me, he wants $850CDN
they are extremely light (18-19lbs) if you look on wheelweights.net they are one of the lightest cast wheels ever made they aren't in great shape, you can tell by the pics i would probably get them powdercoated gold (costs $400 CDN) the problem is I really wanted 17s for comfort even tho they are 18s they shouldn't slow me down because they are so light what do you guys think of them, would you get them taking into account they are 18" and what do you think of his price? Sounds like a bargin...I doubt you`ll notice the lack of comfort much...as for the weight......bigger rims may weight slightly more, but the tyres are lighter (same rolling radius/less sidewall) so the diference would be minimal. They look aweome...go for it.

for that price, grab them, if you're not happy with how the feel, you can always sell them, you should have no problem getting your money back.

i was looking to get these when they first came out. its a great deal and you can easily refurbish if you're going to re-paint.

those advans in 18x7.5 are 17.0 lbs a piece
but the guy screwed up, they are actually +48 offset, not +38 you should buy them KAOS and run a spacer haha, cause i don't want to use spacers now looking at some used 17x7 +35 silver volk te37s http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4097161&page=1 only problem is the narrow width wow it so hard to find nice 17x8 5x100 +35 wheels. if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. if not i will have to suck it up and get those 18" oz's and live with the rubbing, bumpy ride, and slowness This post has been edited by Promasta: Jan 24, 2009 - 4:44 PM |

Dont rush. If getting 17's at 8J really what you want then hold out. Worst thing you can do is buy a set at a bargain which dont fit or not 100% what you want and then having to pay more to powdercoat them and buy spacers.
I've got a set of 17 8J Supertourismo's for next to nothing after 4 months of hunting around. IT was trashed but I have them stripped and powdercoated from black to white and the total cost was still a bargain. 18's are a hard ride and not ideal if you want some comfort and even harder if you're having stiffer suspension setups to avoid arch rub. |

yes i would like them all to be approximately +35
the volks are tempting (17x7 +35) presure2 has 17x7 +35 and they are pretty tucked in but not too bad not a huge fan of the superturismo's, i kinda think 16 spokes is a lot haha, they are great rally wheels tho |
