Ok today I went to the track, import face off. Anyways its the first time me and the car has been to the track. Kinda wanted to see what it would do with the 3s. Sop the first run sucked 15.55. Got a terrible start do to wheel hop and it freaked me out. So I ran about 7 time total. wheel hop everytime, tried different rpm stars and different launches and it either spun to about 60ft or had wheel hop. Though the days runs I managed to improve each run as follows 15.55
15,83 14.83 14.59 15.42{ missed 2nd} 14.57 14.44 14.03 and one no slip run. Now I know if I had a good launch with minimal spin, wheel hop my car would be mid 13 seconds. Its seems I spun or whell hoped then played catch after that every time. I did race a b18 civic and he had me by 2 cars cause of the whell hop but I passed him by 1 at the end , man that felt good to come back and win. But I need to get this wheel hop issue fixed.I am going to install new struts this weekend. Already have new springs. Any other ideas what about slicks? I put bigger tires on it p225/45/17 and it seems like it hops with the bigger tires and spins more with the old tires but new condition tires p205/40/17. It was the 60 ft that killed me 2.34 2.35 ect.

new tires should help a lot.
your best bet is BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial, they run $158 each for 225/45/17s and are still completely street legal.

i do not believe poly inserts are going to help wheel hop... what tranny you running?? my car hops all the way through first gear and i have the inserts... struts will help. sway bar will help.. twosrus endlinks will help... tires with tread that grips is going to decrease wheel spin but increase wheel hop... slicks are really the only way to solve it

launching a FWD car properly is just going to spin your tires... then you can let off the gas but there goes all the boost you just made... didn't think about it to now but an electronic boost controller might greatly help your situation

Good driving, poly engine mounts, good suspension, and good tires.

I have brand new tires on the car less than 500 miles on them so I think they gripped alot, because my old ventis tires were new but they would just spin instead of wheel hop. But it seemed faster with just wheel spin rather than wheel hop. Struts are 15 years old with 150,000 miles on them, so I need them and I have coilovers on the back and springs on the front so thats a big problem with the rear being softer than the front. A friend told me to get polyurathan bushing for the whole front end, sturt bar, sway bar, motor mount inserts, and struts and the correct springs that match the front on the car an the problem would be better.

If you were able to hit a low 14 run with your current set up, there's no reason why you can't do it again. That's why I say, learn to drive and take a chill on the launches a bit. All of that other stuff may help you or make it easier to get traction off the line, but if you can't launch the car correctly, then it's not going to do anything.

getting low 14's is easy last 3 runs was 14.5 14.55 14.3 I want to be in the high 13's with my current setup. I know I can just need to lower my 60ft even my 80ft. After 80 ft and the spinning stops the car pulls hard. It pulls hard taking off it just spins to much. The problem is My fault the car is not setup for the track. I have old struts and coilovers on the back and lowered springs on the front and the cars ride height is off the front is higher than the back, I need to install the other springs on the rear and get rid of the coil overs on the rear.
