help . Need to know what should i do before boosting car. 5lbs max ple, 5lbs boosting. what to do before any internals? Options

hey there im new to the forums. right now i have a 94 celica st . set up is header . custom short ram. 2.5 inch exhaust. i recently just got a whole turbo kit for free. the guy paid 800 bucks for it. its a garret. it is for a celica i just got my manifold and down pipe made. my brother also passed down to me a greddy type rs No problems or nothing. What should i do before boosting it. I only want to push 5lbs. daily driven. no more. till future. when i rebuild my new motor that i will do over summer but thats another story. please help me with suggestions. thanks alot

how many miles on the current motor?? any internal leaks? id suggest doing a leak down test, and a compression test before even thinking about boosting the old motor. if that turns out fine, it should really be a straight foreward deal. 5lbs is not much pressure at all. u could be just fine with what u have, just tune it well.
