Hi all, this is the first time I have looked into a 6g, but is there any problems that I should be looking for when looking to buy one? any problems that show signs before they happen? Rust owes or suspension or wiring problems?

Hi all, this is the first time I have looked into a 6g, but is there any problems that I should be looking for when looking to buy one? any problems that show signs before they happen? Rust owes or suspension or wiring problems? they generally are pretty reliable cars. mostly mantinence related problems pop up as the car ages, rust in the rear wheelwells is common if the car has seen roadsalt or whatever. suspension is one of those age related things that gets worn, not really much you can do about it other than replacing the worn parts. AFAIK there are no common wiring issues with our cars. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

I had a 5th gen gt and it was such a good car for me It was no question that I wanted to get a 6gen though i did debate between the 6th and 7th gen models. when it was all said and done I liked the styling on the 6th gen a lot better and being in the automotive field when i bought it the 6th gen was just as easy to work on as the 5th gen where as the 7th gen has gotten a lot more complicated. The only thing nice about the 7th gen is if you are into tuning there is a heck of a lot more that you can do with it. But i have to say I have had my 6th gen now for about 3 years and haven't had any problems with it and still love the styling and the way it drives every time i get in it. The only thing you want to watch for is that you dont buy it from a youngster that has really beat on it or at anytime over revved the engine, it was very hard for me to find one with low mileage and in good condition, i ended up driving 5 hours just to get mine. Happy searching and I dont think you will be dissapointed.
