so i was reading the sticky's on the 5sfte. and it said something about the two different models of ct26 turbos not being interchangeable with the 3s manifolds....so i was wondering aftermarket wise...if i was wanting to go bigger turbo wise what would fit to the 3s turbo manifold?

only a ct series turbo will bolt directly onto the 3sgte turbo manifold. The only ct that won't bolt onto the manifold is the single entry ct-26 found in the 1st gen 3sgte and supras. Either get a ct20b or a ct27 from ats and call it a day.

get an adapter to fit a bigger turbo eg. T3/T4, T3 flange turbos

i got a custom-made adapter from CT26 to suit T2(25, 28) flange turbos. im fitting a GT2871 and also using gen2 3sgte manifold.

also will need to buy 3sgte downpipe and get a flange welded on to suit outlet of turbo, in my case, i got a 5bolt T25 style outlet welded on a 3sgte downpipe. i plan on keeping the dump pipe open!!!

May I ask you guys.. Can an external wastegate port be added to a 3s-gte manifold aswell as the adaptation to the Garrett T2871 (or similar) turbo without running into space issues (eg proximity to radiator fans, etc) while using the stock w2a intercooler?
