Trying to trail my friends down a mountain and this happened:

Oversteered into the face of the mountain. I definitely say I'm at full fault at this... Sorry Celi frown.gif .

Reason the windows are like that because the air bags shot up into the window.

It's the only explainmation I can get from it. After smacking face front into the mountain, I can't explain anything else.

yea the way the airbags are designed they always smash the windshield when they deploy.
actually oversteering is quite easy.. while going downhill. uphill however is difficult.
the car looks to be in fairly good shape still and can be repaired.

Make sure to save your emblems!

So are you going to get her fixed? I wasn't aware there was another NorCal member.

should be easy fix considering there are so many 6gc in junk yard now. air bags and fenders are an easy to find these days.

might as well use this opportunity to upgrade to the gt4 look.

btw you understeered. Oversteer means your tail broke loose and your car slid sideways or backwards into something.

Understeer means you turned to the max and it still continued to go straight.

good luck find parts.

It had to oversteer because the way I took the corner, I went directly into the wall. My whole back end shot out and it was too fast for me to react.

It had to feel something exactly like that.

That's an evo dude, 4wd drift, too much power on all fours.

If he was FWD he would have gone straight across the dirt to the left of the black barrier straight ahead.

Bad luck with the crash though... frown.gif

That sucks...but hey! It's a good excuse to add a fresh paint job on it and maybe it's time to get some bigger wheels. Help it stick.

Lift off throttle on a corner. When you lift off while cornering, all the weight goes to the front.

Happened to me twice. Still got lucky though

sorry for you loss...

Ouch, that sucks! Hope everything turns out alright. Did you file a police report, turn it in to your insurance company? If you did, that's cool, you'll probably be able to get it fixed (I hope for your sake you can.) If not, GT4 conversion!!!!!
