I need to change my flex pipe 'cause of some problems I had before that damaged it. How much should it cost to change it? I'm trying to not get ripped off. And do you think I'd get a better deal if I bought an aftermarket exhaust (cat-back) and changed that, too?

Oh, the car's a '94 GT Coupe in case you didn't see the left pane.

You know im going through the same thing. I recently got a stock down pipe and was going to do it myself, but the bolts are so rusted I gotta take it to someone to have them do it right. Shouldnt cost too much, and while your changing that out you might as well do a cat back. Or you could have a custom down pipe made, vibrant sells the flex pipe. But to answer your question. Its going to depend on where you take it to get it done. I paid little over 100 for my cat back (not counting muffler and resonator), and estimate the down pipe install should cost round 50 or so.

Sounds pretty good, considering the downpipes I'm finding online are $80+ new. Can I get a better-than-stock downpipe anywhere online? And what would you all recommend in terms of cat-back exhausts that aren't too expensive?
