dude, I'm shifting into 5th at the end of that run...that SUUUUCCCKKs. the E153 guys should be able to hit the finish line still in 3rd.
the emanage ultimate can do the 2 step. im kinda afraid to set it up while still on the stock pistons, i've heard it is harsh on the ringlands..lol
yea, my best run was on a nice blip of the throttle just before the last yellow light and kinda dropping the clutch.
i tried launching holding it @ ~2800-3k, and it bogged off the line..so i reved it up more, prolly to ~38-3900 or so, and wheel hopped 1st.
just a matter of getting more runs under my belt i think, im still very much a beginner when it comes to racing.
i had ~20psi in the fronts, ~45 in the rear.
any tips are welcome man, like i said, im still a beginner at this, and if my experiences can help the other guys on the site go faster, im all for it.
we really need to get the ET's on these cars down to a respectable level, and i think all of us as a community can accomplish that goal if we all pool our experiences, and get out there and RACE!

Doh! I'm thinking 4 gears, not four shifts. My bad man.

How does the emanage work the two step?? Ignition cut I presume??? That's actually pretty safe as you're still getting fuel keeping the cylinder cool, and that fuel ignition in the exhaust is what spools the turbo up. If it's a fuel cut though, that's not the best way to get it. That's a lot harder on the motor.

Manny, here's something to help you make the launch easier. Forget about the reaction time. Unless you're bracket or heads up racing, and not just out running for the heck of it, R/T is nothing more than bragging rights. Let the other car launch, sit there for a second, get to where you want, and let rip.

well said Fastbird. For those that done know, the reaction DOES NOT affect the ET time. You will run the same 1/4 mile time with a .0001 reaction time as you would with a 10.000 reaction time.

By not worrying about the reaction time, allows you to concentrate more on the launch.

GREAT TIMES MANNY

yea, i knew that.
im the one that told jim that. lmao.
but its good when you can get a good r/t, and run a decent time too.
when i race at the track, i never even look in the other lane when im getting ready to launch.
on the street, the good r/t helps wink.gif
thanks for the kind words all.

Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them.
