It's located right next to the EGR Valve. I believe it is supposed to have a vacuum hose coming from it, going to somewhere else as well. This is a 5sfe engine. I need to know what that sensor is so I can replace it. Obviously mine is effed. Any help appreciated.
Thanks! What Am I? This post has been edited by joeladam02: Aug 8, 2009 - 2:23 AM |

does that goto the map sensor? where did the vacuum line goto? Problem is, this arose in an engine swap. I was not there when the first engine was taken out, so I don't know what it was attached to. My brother did the work, and he doesn't remember. Luckily I was able to steal one off of my old motor that was warrantied because the parts store had not sent it back to the vendor yet. But I would still like to know what the hell it is, what it does, and why I can't find a new one anywhere I look. According to the vacuum diagrams it's a gas filter of some sort. Perhaps exhaust fumes? |

Thats where the gas filter is for a 5sfe it should have 2 vac hose connected to it ones to the map sensor and the other is to the FPR.
