Threw on some new stuff like Toyota OEM Optional front lip from Tom's (I still have my ss-III splitters painted black too for reserves), JDM Side Markers, SS-III Wing Badge, Short Shifter, New Paint JOB - not an OEM color for any car, its black toner (TRUE PURE BLACK no hints of any other color) with clear mixed with black also, and some little stuff. One of the beach pics might be my calendar submission but I do need to take more pics just to get better choices. I have a crappy camera even though I have a 10mp. But I might get it photoshopped to help my lack of skills.

Wow, that is quite the makeover. Looking great! What's up with the right high beam cover being yellow? its actually yellow bulbs, I use it just to refract some yellow tint onto my high beam lenses, gives it a lil extra more detail and character. Most people do that in order to give the front end some extra to it. looks great man, just need to lighten the pics some to show off the definition of the car. I know, like i said my camera and skills for lighting sucks. I will get better at it and fine tune the camera a bit. the car is really really black in person and it does not show much detail at all, i wonder how I can bring it out in pictures. Wow! I really liked your car in white, but after seeing these pics I like it even more in black . At first I didn't even notice it was your car, and I said to myself, "Oh hey look! Someone else has the same rims as me and TRDPROVEN." Looks real good!!

Has nothing to do with the camera, you just need to try not using flash even when it is like evening, because mine actually shows lighter without flash than if I use flash when the sun is setting, and then just use like Easyshare with Kodak, and keep reapplying settings until they are perfect for you, or use Google Picesa, but those will help you play a lil bit with the photos and you can get that fill lighting in, a tad of high lights, and then shadow in a bit to keep the integrity of the darker areas, while still adding that definition by filling in more light. Those two programs are very easy and simple to use, unlike photoshop which is hard as hell to use. I like it overall. I think the SS3 splitters are better than the Toms lip. Although id love a white gen6!! But the black looks fantastic and works great with the wheels.

Great Car but bad pics I've change one pic a bit where I can sell this Tom's front lip? Nakamura - I did love the car when it was white but it was time for something new. The ss3 splitters are nice overall, i still have it in case I feel like going back to it, I just hate the part where it gets thinner as it goes from the side to the front. Also I hate that it is not a full lip and makes the center vacant and higher, that is why I got a full lip. Overall they both have their cons. All: I get it the pics look to soft. But it will change once it is enhanced. -------------------- 94 Celica GT

I agree totally with the lack of a full lip statement. Its a shame as you really need to slam the car to make it appear low and sporty. Having said that i do think the Toms lip works a lot better in black than white.
The very last pic looks amazing. |

Having said that i do think the Toms lip works a lot better in black than white. The very last pic looks amazing. You totally get my point in this statement, although I love the authentic SS-III white, the lip is pulled off better in black which forced me to paint it black. I made this close and careful discovery by analyzing DSRT-FX's car when he was still active, we actually followed the same route. As a matter of fact, it was just like how the SS-III style forced me to paint it white at the time. The problem with white is everything stands out and unfortunately, it does not work well the toms lip because of the curvy lines it creates. Thus, exactly why my car was painted black, my 3"+ drop did not do so much, sadly, need maybe an extra 1/4 inch more. Yes mine is not low enough at all. I find it hard to see any decent lips for the prefacelift cars. I have TRD front spats going on and may fabricate something else from either my old euro spats or something totally from another car.
Coming from an ultra low MR2 turbo my gen6 is riding high even though it is lowered, albeit only around 30 mm. |

looks nice - a lot like DSRT-FX's.
is that actually as low as you can drop? Cause you aren't tucking and DSRT-FX was tucking when he was dropped 3.0". |

It is definitely tucking I cannot put my fingers in the fenders, all I touch are the tires. Its just that my rims aren't that wide enough with the camber going on. like I said white was good while it lasted but it has become too common, gets dirty and I can't take out certain stains or dirt it gets, it gives off too much detail being white, to each his own but that color is long gone. I wondered why I never went black to begin with it is wicked, stealthy, clean, and mean looking, my car feels more tuff. Plus the toms lip looks better in black than in white, and I agree with that 100%. This post has been edited by trdproven: Aug 9, 2009 - 4:14 PM -------------------- 94 Celica GT

Looks great! The only problem with black cars is that they are harder to get good pictures of.
But I like the new look! -------------------- |
