Official Time and Meeting Place:
Meet is setup for Friday October 16th at 4pm and Saturday the 17th at 11am, and each day we are meeting at the Barnes and Noble parking lot of Long Beach Town Center, 7651 Carson Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90808 at the designated times. Friday night is a beach bonfire at Bolsa Chica. Its gonna be cold, more than likely, so bring warm stuff. Please add your name to the list of attending and what you will bring (reminder, its a bonfire meet to hang out and introduce 1st timers to the group. If need be I can help spot some people for the $10 parking at the beach. We can bring basketballs, guitars, etc. to entertain ourselves with while we start the fire. Snacks should be brought as well, that will be up to whomever brings what so that we aren't starving by the time everything is setup. Saturday is an all day event, meeting at the same place, 11am. We will decide on exactly what to do on Saturday by majority vote. This can be from cruises around town, indoor kart racing (depending on money situations), something that will be agreed upon. 1. xs94st (xavier) - wood, lighter fluid, hangers/stuff to make smores with. Keep in mind, $10 needs to be brought for parking, and you should bring some snacks n stuff to chill at the bonfire. After the bonfire, whomever is down to come to my place and chill, come through. I need phone numbers, and if I already have yours please, repost it for other members. Or pm it to me. I have enough space for about 4 people to crash if they need to. If you are getting a hotel, let us know and we can perhaps all pitch in on it and just chill in the hotel. Any questions, text me at 562 303 3288. I mainly accept texts, phonecalls only in urgent matters. -Xavier This post has been edited by xs94st: Oct 10, 2009 - 4:37 AM -------------------- Pandelica 2.0 in progress. |

Hey guys, we had a great time at the Summer 09 meet, I figured I'd throw down another meet idea for us sometime this fall. I think an amusement park/kart riding/dining sounds like some cool ideas, put down any suggestions, we will decide date and time as well, and if we have to push the date back or move it forward depending on people's ability to make it. Share your ideas for the next meet and lets get a good foundation going on this next meet. -Xavier just let me know the date and place, i can work out my work shedule if i have enough time to request time, i cant wait the last one was awesome.... -------------------- You're here for a good time, not a long time. - Colin McRae When in doubt... Flat out! - Colin McRae Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you.... |

I need to go to a meet sometime eventually, Nebraska's boring and dull, only 2 members on here are from here, maybe I'll head down to this one if it doesn't interfere with my school. Invite a few friends and take a vacation.

ha already starting to plan the next meet huh Xavier! well sounds good to me
Im free on the weekends so count me in for whenever. I would like to go to k1 speed. amusement park, uhh that would take up the whole day. Or we can just go to the beach this time and do bonfire at the beach and eat smores food w/e. I got no other ideas oh ya and we can lag it with time either, cause the meet we just had was a little unorganized, even though it was still fun This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Aug 10, 2009 - 12:28 AM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

My Xavier, you jumped on this fast my friend. Well, if I may say, I just hope this doesn't discourage anyone from going. Yes, we are planning ahead, and according to the experiences of Derrick, planning ahead sometimes has it's cons, as we may expect a lot, and eventually people tire and not show up. I had a great time with you all, and I believe October is the best month to do this. Why?
Here are my reasons why October is the BEST month: 1. Weather conditions, Mild and PERFECT 2. No major Holidays in the way 3. I-5 To SoCal will be cooperative It would be nice if we can have these meets quarterly, and I STILL want a North & South meet, but the Northerners won't make the trip, I know this already without even having to follow up. So if we can, let's plan for sometime in Early to Mid October, before we hit up the next two months with our loved ones on the most important holidays of the year. (PS, Weather permitting, I might try to make it out for New Years if you are down as well). ha already starting to plan the next meet huh Xavier! well sounds good to me Im free on the weekends so count me in for whenever. I would like to go to k1 speed. amusement park, uhh that would take up the whole day. Or we can just go to the beach this time and do bonfire at the beach and eat smores food w/e. I got no other ideas oh ya and we can lag it with time either, cause the meet we just had was a little unorganized, even though it was still fun I like that idea too, the beach with a lil chilly coldness to it. I am sure people do that. Who can play a guitar? LOL Seriously, and if any of you know of a hotel by you, let me know so I can arrange to book a room. I plan on getting some drank (yeah I said drank) in with a few of you as well. -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204

the balboa pier in newport beach is really nice, has parking right next to the beach, and has lots of good looking girls when its warm. the cops are also pretty relaxed there too.

I know it was a quick follow up, but I just wanted this thread made so we can have continuous updates as to who can come, what to do, and organize the time and date for the meet. I do apologize for the unorganizedness of the last meet, but after waiting for everybody to arrive I should have just had the meet up/arrival destination be the place where we were gonna go (the beach).
I am down for a mid october meet, the weather should be nice and the 5 will be clear. One thing to w be wary of will be brushfires in the socal area, as last year I think october got pretty bad. As for new years, hell, faust jus come down to my place man I am planning on a kegger this year and the fambam (6gc'ers included) to come over and ring the new year in right. There is a motel right next to my place that should be opening soon, doesn't look janky, so it might be a primo spot to stay. The beach sounds great, it was my original idea for the last meet but plans changed. I know that after november 19th I can't request any days off till 2010 lol, so I think october would be best for me. I'm glad to see people already putting their .02 cents in, we need help organizing everything so it works out perfectly. Thanks for puttin some ideas down! -------------------- Pandelica 2.0 in progress. |

If the I-5 is cool, I will be down for that as well then, so long as me gots a place to park :-D Well if Mid October works for everyone, I say that's a good place to start. Now Derrick should be able to come down to this meet as well and believes he might be able to entice a few Northerners down for this as well, and if he arrives, we can expect Marco to come down as well. Count on me coming by, if I get the funds I am expecting, I will hold off my swap for November so that I can attend this meet, so long as my engine is still well and kicking. Brush fires? They get bad don't they? I remember driving back on the I-5 when I met Jeff and the mountains were on fire, but not bad to pass through. -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204

Hmm,
Ideas: Irwindale raceway, Run your car for 20 dollars and you can pretty much keep running your car all night, its a 1/8th mile track and they give time slips and reaction times. Speedzone: Go karting, 25 dollars you can drive both tracks a drifting track and a regular turbo track. Its unlimited racing, the deal is valid sunday thru thursday. A canyon run? ha ha |

You can drift and drag in these KARTS?! Why didn't anyone say anything before on this?! Honestly, I don't care what we do. I just want to hang out with you guys again. I don't even care if we sit in a garage and drink beer (so long as you let me crash on your living room floor! LOL I love that, but just kidding...... I think). Things are getting pretty bad here in Bakersfield, and though I might be slightly drunk right now as I write this and correct my spelling errors thanks to Mozilla Firefox Browser....... I want to move out there and you guys are all awesome. I know some of you had fun, some of you say "Hey Faust, I will just see you at the meets and I don't care to get to know you to be my new best friend", but I want you all to be my new best friend.
