yeah i have been working steadily with no progress. Today I pulled apart most of the intake system and put it all back together... no luck same results.
distributor huh? I'll prob have to look into that. I may have a couple friends from the forum coming down to look through things with me so we will see... griff, let me know how things turn out -------------------- The question is not how far. so i had the southcoast dream team pay me a visit tonight and after exhausting EVERY single option, I think we found the solution. a boost test on the engine lead us to a torn intake manifold gasket.... whomp whomp will be ordering the part tomorow and installing probably tuesday. -------------------- The question is not how far. Ok so im having same problem as you i believe with my 96 GT, bear with me as i know very little of enginse.
My check engine light is forever on, and my throttle sticks at about 2000 rpm until i tap the gas at which point it falls back to normal. It is reading something about the EGR, so i have replaced the EGR valve, idle air control valve, EGR tube, and a few other things and the light will NOT go off and the throttle continually sticks. had about 3 cleanings of the throttle body, lubed the cable, and other simple things but no dice. Is yalls check engine light on? |
