Hey everyone,

First post so forgive me if I have messed anything up. I am looking into an SS II at the moment and should have it in 2 weeks. Thing is I was wondering if a few more horses could be squeezed out without too much work or money.

Essentially I want to be able to rip a type r integra to pieces (my friend owns one and hes intolerable in that thing)

If big money is needed is there a way to sequence a build so that I can continue to upgrade over time??
I ask ye because Ive been reading the forums for a while now and the details and facts that are given are incredible.

you're going to want to swap to a 3sgte for the most efficient power upgrade.....

or risk nitrous (bad idea)

Would I be better to just scrap the ssII idea and wait for a gt4??

YES, infinitely. It wouldn't even matter if you beat him or not, GT-4 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Integra Type-R.

I would like to x2 on that motion if you can do that.

Unless he has it well modified a GT-4 will beat it off the line, in a drag, in the turns, and in looks.

Besides you'll make the rest of us that can't get them for one reason or another extremely jealous lol.

but then of course an n/a type r vs a gt-4 car isnt really the same race. of course you will beat him, but the cars are not in the same categorey. You can get some cams, toda cam gears, lightweight crankshaft pulley, bolts on-s such as cai flywheel, exhaust, power deck spacer. uhh anything else i missed??

or you can just turbo the 3sge which will cost somewhere around $2,500 by keeping boost very low while using stock internals.

or by a ss-I which has a week 3sfe engine and swap it out for a rare somewhat hard to find parts for, 3sge beams redtop which produces 197 hp.

looks like covered most of it

check one of the stickies topics about "ACIS/BEAMS discussion" theres a link about 3sge tuning goes into depth (eg: the lift limits on cams for it which is about 13mm)

those engines love BIG cams so around 260deg+ is good.

There is a cheap way to make your car alot faster and its FREE! Weight loss! smile.gif

Smaller battery moved to the boot,
Remove AC (15kg hanging over the very front of your car)
Remove rear wiper
Stripped interior (rear seats, rear speakers, spare wheel and jack, rear seat belts, plastic trim, door cards are heavy too)
Remove Air bags

Also:
lightweight wheels
Carbon fiber or fiber glass bonnet (or an aluminum GT4 bonnet)
Carbon fiber or fiber rear hatch
Plastic windows
lightweight seats
lightweight mirrors (electric folding mirrors are 6kg a pair!!)

Here is mine recently stripped out:

I put it all back in as its ALOT louder when stripped. Especially when you have a uprated fuel pump buzzing behind you.
