I have to remold my rear fender because the person I bought the car from had a accident and called one of those guys that go to your house and do the bodywork in your driveway. Goes without saying they did a piss poor job. I mean it was covered in silver tape and spray on bed liner. But as I was cutting away at the mess he left I noticed that there were a lot of really high spots. I was wondering if the car was build with an inner metal body and an outer shell of body filler and fiberglass. Or is it just the guy’s ****ty craftsmanship.

I can assure you Celicas have steel main body panels. Maybe that guy was new to body work and using that car for practice? I hate bondo the stuff just doesn't last, even if it was initially a good looking fix. |

Just that i noticed that when i was preping the car areas that he didn't work on was a steel shell and some kind of shell over the steel one. |
