Hi,
I just picked up a 96 GT and was thinking about replacing the injen short ram that came with it or just polish it up real nice and buy a new filter for it. I came across this small crankcase filter, what exactly is it for? Thanks

for you it would apply to using a filter insted of a vac like for certain parts of the intake system, the vac line from the Intake to the valve cover can be replaced with breather filters, which are what that link is

They're pretty much the same.

I have a Weapon-R myself.

Please don't re-post in the future.

This wasn't a re post. If you notice in my first post I said that I was looking for filters and came across a "crank case" and I was unsure it's purpose. I have seen one of these small filters in my friend's turbo'd car located near his actual intake and didn't know if it were something for all cars or just ones with a turbo.
