Hey i recently just bought and fixed a tom's lip and I was wondering how would I be able to bolt up where the lip sits inside the wheel well to my fender its missing a hole. Also does anyone how i would be able to bolt up a part of it that is missing one of the mounting brackets? there's little mounting brackets on the lip but one of them I guess ripped off, where can i find a replacement and a better question do i need this?

what i did for my splitters is drilled a new hole and also used double sided automotive tape for the mounting parts that ripped off mine.

you just need enough brackets to hold in place some in the middle and some towards the fender. if thats oem, all you need is double sided tape, if the tape can't hold it close to the body all you do is tap screw it meaning on the part that hugs the fender the rest is just doublesided

i work 2-9, i wont have the lip on the car, its sitting in my garage til i get it painted. I'll post pictures in a little bit of what I'm talking about, I do need c clamps but i also need one of the metal brackets that are on the inside of the lip that help it bolt to the bumper.

it doesn't have to be that secured not all brackets need to be used. Just enough, remember not only does it hang on the inside of the bumper but it also has doublesided tape to hold it up too. Not only that you have bolts on the bottom.

I made new brackets by going to home depot and buying the 6inch long by 1inch wide aluminum plates. They are pretty thin and easily bent to shape. They were like 89c each and I drilled holes in them for mounting both to the body and the splitters.

those things that hold it are called rivets, the riveter is like 20 bucks at the depot and each rivet is like 10 cents

you don't need to worry about that missing bracket. the middle section of the lip will wrap itself to the lower lip part of the front bumper. you just need to screw it to the fender wheel wells (right in front of the front wheels) and it'll hold fine. no double tape needed really thanks to the accurate fitment.. as long as you screw them against the fender wheel well at the right height. i'm not using ANY of the bottom brackets on mine. just two screws with one on each side.
